ニューヨークではここ一ヶ月くらいランタンフライという虫が大量発生しています。私はとても虫が苦手で、特に羽を持ってる虫は本当に嫌い。そのランタンフライは羽を持ってて、人に向かって飛んできてはくっつくという習性を持っています。人間には害がないそうですが、外を歩くときはかなり警戒して歩いています。今日は最寄りの図書館に歩いて行ったのですが、その途中でランタンフライに遭遇していまいました。いきなり飛んできて服にくっついてきたので、もうパニック。それでもう1日が台無し。この虫は植物や畑の作物には有害らしく、ニューヨーク市はこの虫に遭遇したら潰して、どこで発見したか報告するように勧めています。
There has been a mass outbreak of Lanternflies in NY in the past month. I hate insects, especially those with wings. Lanternflies have wings, and they fly to people and stick them. Despite they are harmless to humans, I always watch out for them while walking.
Today, I went to the public library near my house. On the way to the library, it attacked me and stuck my clothes. I was shocked all day. NY government announced that If you see Lanternflies, squash them and report them to the government because they are harmful to plants.
