EllyはDaikiに長期休暇の様子をたずねています。Daikiは浜松での祭りに参加したそうです。巨大な凧を上げる祭りのようです。

 

Elly: こんにちは、Daiki。長期休暇はどうでしたか?Hi, Daiki. How was your long holiday?

 

Daiki: 楽しくてリラックスできました。私は妻といっしょに故郷の浜松に行ったんです。It was nice and relaxing. I went to my hometown, Hamamatsu, with my wife.

 

Elly: そこでは何か特別なことをしましたか?Did you do anything special there?

 

Daiki: 実は、そう、しました。毎年開かれる浜松祭りに出かけました。Actually, yes, I did. I went to the annual Hamamatsu festival.

 

Elly: いいですね。それはどんなお祭りなんですか?Great. What kind of festival is it?

 

Daiki: 六畳から十畳ぐらいの巨大な凧を上げるんです。They have big kites that are about six to ten tatami mats in size.
