私は「核を本当に使う必要はあったのか？」と問いかけた。
I replied to him

80年前の8月9日午前11時2分、原子爆弾が投下された長崎。
At 11:02 a.m. on August 9, 80 years ago, an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.
ラジオで長崎出身の福山雅治が、原爆で被爆し、２か月後に芽が生えたクスノキを題材にした歌「クスノキ-500年の風に吹かれて」を作った思いを話していた。

人は美味しいものを食べているとき、美しいものに触れているときは喧嘩なんてしようと思わない。
When people are eating delicious food or experiencing beautiful things, they don't feel like fighting.
子供みたいな考えかもしれませんが、平和な世の中は絶対に来ると信じています。
