アル・マッキボン(1919 年 1 月 1 日 – 2005 年 7 月 29 日) は、アメリカのジャズ ダブルベーシストで、バップ、ハード バップ、ラテン ジャズの作品で知られています。
ラッキー・ミリンダー、タブ・スミス、JC・ハード、コールマン・ホーキンスと活動した後、1947年にレイ・ブラウンの後任としてディジー・ガレスピーのバンドに加わり、1950年までバンドで演奏した。
1950年代にはマイルス・デイヴィスのノネット、アール・ハインズとレコーディングしました。 カウント・ベイシー、ジョニー・ホッジス、セロニアス・モンク、モンゴ・サンタマリア、ジョージ・シアリング、カル・ジェイダー、ハービー・ニコルズ、ホーキンス。マキボンはシアリングのグループで演奏していた間、ラテン音楽界で興味深いジェイダーとして評価されていました。
