これまでUFCの入場で個人的に一番好きなUFC 189のChad MendesのWalk outで使われた、Aaron LewisのCountry Boyを紹介したいと思います。
日本ではまだまだカントリーは認知度も人気も低いですが、かなりManlyな曲も多くて私は好きです。

俺はカントリーボーイなんだ。それ以上でもねぇ。
いかにも狩猟好きでカリフォルニアでもかなり田舎であるHanford出身のMendesっぽい曲ですよね。
Aaron Lewisはこの曲で悪魔に魂を売り渡したって言ってるように、カントリーやる前はStaindというヘビメタバンドのメンバーで、どうやら自分の本来的な音楽的趣向と異なる音楽をやっていたみたいなんですね。
ヘビメタ時代のことをどう思っているのか、そして今はカントリー一本なのかとかは調べてないので全く知りませんが、葛藤があったのでしょう。
Aaron以外にも例えばDarius Ruckerなんかもキャリアの途中でカントリーに転向してますね。
日本で言えば、ポップ歌手が演歌に転向したり、漫才師が落語家になるような感じでしょうか。
文脈的に異なる点を挙げるなら、演歌や落語はおそらく聞き手が減少傾向にあると思いますが、カントリー市場は「まだまだ鬱陶しいほどに元気（カントリー嫌いのアメリカの友人曰く）」なところでしょうか（私はカントリー大好きです）。
残念ながらこの試合はMendes負けてしまうんですよねー。
個人的にAnti-Conorなので死ぬ物狂いで応援してましたし、テイクダウンが決まった時は雄叫びを上げたものです。
ただ、マクレガーの当て感、距離の取り方はやっぱり別格だなと思いました。
再戦してほしいなー。
