If there was one segment that Ski-Doo lost market share in that hurt them the most, it was the Crossover market. That has been rectified for 2013 as most of the Renegade lineup gets the new rMotion. It will be standard on the X, Adrenaline, Backcountry X and Backcountry Renegade packages.
In addition the rMotion will be available in most all short-track sleds this year, most importantly the in-season TNTs, and the 4-TEC TNT in the XR body as well.
The fit and finish was a high priority for 2013. The new REV XS body style and the new 'floating' hood panels are functional with good breathability and the panels hide seems for a premium look. The Spring Buy X sleds including the MXZ, Renegade, and Summit will all have the new XS body style (called them XM for the Summits) as well as the in-season TNT and Summit SP models.
There is also the new tMotion rear skid, suspension, track combination for the Summits. The T stands for torsion or twisting as this
rear skid actually twists from one side to the other inside the tunnel. The idea was to reduce
the sled's resistance to 'banking' make it more flickable, easier to do downhill u-turns, and more predictable sidehills.
