This is one of our Snowfire Roses... Each one is a bit different. But the "under" part of the leaf is white and it shows up on the edges of most of the petals. The middle petals are reversed. White on top and red underneath.
This one is my favorite... looks like it is sticking out its tongue. Don't you think so? ( ´艸｀) LOL!!!
There were actually 4 blooms that were fully out. Several other buds, so we should have more soon. But we have had so much rain lately that all the flowers are bent or on the ground (like the purple Iris you see in the picture) - actually I'm surprised to have flowers at all. Most of the Spring storms have really been violent (windy) and most flowers have lost all of their petals.
There is an Air Show going on at Andrew's Air Force Base. There are several stunt planes flying over my house. The main team that performs (military) is the Blue Angels. Has been a bit noisy around here the last few days with them practicing and then for the next few days for the actual 'show. It is in celebration of Armed Forces Day. A Day when we celebrate all the people currently in our military protecting us and all those who have served before them.
