Valentine's day is coming soon. Japanese people have a very unique way to celebrate it, right?
バレンタインデーが近づいています。日本人の方はとてもユニークな祝い方がありますね
In other countries we celebrate Valentine's day in a bit different way.
外国はちょっと違うのです
We usually show our appreciation to our friends and love ones by giving them cards, gifts, flowers or chocolates. In Japan everyone sends cards on New Year, or during the Summer, but in the West, we do that on Valentine's day.
友達とか大切な人にカードやお花やチョコをあげますが、やはりだいたいカードです。日本なら年賀状か暑中見舞ですが、向こうはバレンタインカードです。
It is also a very romantic holiday, if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, you go out on a date and give him or her a nice present
. In Mexico, we even receive presents from "secret friends", very much like "secret Santa" on X-mas.
とてもロマンチックなホリデーですよ。恋人をデートに連れて行ったり、プレゼントをあげたりします。メキシコは「秘密な友達」にプレゼントももらうんですよ、クリスマスの秘密のサンタさんみたいに。
