Joplin Tornado Kills 116, Deadliest Since 1953
March 24 (Bloomberg) -- The tornado that killed 116 people in Joplin, Missouri, was the deadliest single U.S. twister since 1953, and another round of tornadoes may sweep across the southern Great Plains today, according to the National Weather Service.
