Hello!
I meant to update earlier... but my internet was down the whole weekend!! So annoying... now that it's up again, I can finally post my first entry about my trip to Hong Kong. I don't remember where I went on what days, but this is about the day trip to Lanma Island. It was quite interesting because it was so old-school. It looked just like the movies hehe. It was different and relaxing since it was away from the city. We could walk all the way to the other side of the island too... but my bf and I got lazy and were frightened by the steep hill and decided to head back. Plus it was raining! We actually got to the island around 3pm so we figured that it would be dark by the time we got to the other side. The side we stayed on was the part with the seafood anyways so it was cool. Well I have a bunch of pics!
Our boat just arrived to Tsim Sha Tsui! It was actually a very bumpy ride!
We just arrived at our destination. I think it was like a 30min ride? I don't remember.
The first view we saw after getting off the boat. These are all waterfront restaurants! hehe
Tin Hau Temple! I heard it's rude to take pictures of the inside of the temple.
Me doing the incense thing! I've never done this before. My first time hehe.
Part of the hiking path.
Finally time for dinner! We dined at Rainbow because we get a free ferry ride. All the restaurants look like this there.
Bamboo clams! These were so tasty! Too bad we don't have these in California.
I don't know what these shrimps are called but their shells are really hard and you had to cut it with scissors. They're as big as lobsters! So good and fresh.
Lobsters with garlic and of course it was good. Just nothing special.
Scallops baked with sauce that was a mixture of cheese and mashed potatos! I could go for more of these. My bf and I both had two hehe.
And finally the view on the way home!! It was a great idea going back at night. The view was spectacular!!
So that was one of the days in Hong Kong. I will update with more days of the trip. The only area I didn't take pictures of was Mongkok because there were just too many people! All I did there was eat and shop and shop more. It was really shopping heaven and everyone looked so fashionable! That is it for my post today.
