Oh I've been really busy lately. I was so slammed at work today because it was raining of course.. I just wanted to update my blog about DAT (Dine About Town) which happens only two weeks every year in San Francisco. Fine dining restaurants have set menus where lunch is priced at $21.95 and dinner at $34.95. I think it's a very good deal since there are 3 course meals and the portions are huge! Well we decided to try Butterfly at Pier 33 for lunch. It is an Asian Fusion restaurant which I was a little skeptical about but I was actually very happy with the meal and have pictures to share. Only one of us ordered from the DAT menu that day because I really wanted to try the snapper dish.
Fire Fried Calamari. This had so much flavor and was such a huge appetizer!
Shaking Beef Cobb Salad with Poached Egg with Prosciutto, Maytag Blue Cheese and Apple Smoked Bacon. This was a very fresh salad except I'm not a big fan of Blue Cheese. Good thing I could pick it out.
Turmeric Grilled Snapper with Sizzling Onions and Herbs. Very nice and buttery tasting! Still sizzling.. see the smoke?
This came with the snapper dish and was supposed to mix it or wrap it Viet style.
Finally the creme brulee as dessert! This was so good and a very nice finish to our lunch.
Well we also went and did the DAT at Ruth's Chris that night but the lighting was too dark so I didn't post pics. Of course the buttery goodness of Ruth's Chris' steaks were yummy! I loved their mashed potatos and their Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce! Still want to eat more lol I know I'm such a pig. So that's it for my food posting.
