英会話3回目
基礎編～その１～

先生は日本語が殆ど話せませんので、訳の解釈は母さんの独断です。
母さんは文法で覚えるのが大の苦手なので、
丸暗記＆イメージで覚えています。
致命的に取り違えている場合はご教授下さいね。
母さんが余りに文章を作れないので、基礎を暫くやるようです。
文章丸暗記だと娘から質問された時に答えられないので、
応用でササっと文章を作れる程度に基礎が必要との事(たぶん)。
で、今日は A, An 又は None(←何も入れない) の続き。
前回の授業をふまえ、下記の文にA, An or Noneを入れる。

1. There were many dogs in the park. One dog was ____ Dalmatian.
2. Pandas and ____ tigers are both endangered animals.
3. She is wearing ___ blue dress with red earing.
4. Hawaii is ____ island in the Pacific Ocean.

6. ____ ant is ____ insect.
7. The Nile is ___ river.
8. I went to the shop to get ___ bread.
9. He broke ____ glass when he was washing dishes.
10. You should take ___ umbrella.
回答＆解説
1. There were many dogs in the park. One dog was a Dalmatian.
2. Pandas and - tigers are both endangered animals.
3. She is wearing - blue dress with red earing.
4. Hawaii is an sland in the Pacific Ocean.
5. Christmas comes once a year.
6. an ant is an insect.
母さんの答えは、2.のパンダ同様 ant is insect と答えたのだけど
is の時は「１つの」の様な意味が含まれているので
a,anが必要との事(たぶん）。
1.のOne dog was a lmatian. と同じ感じ。
7. The Nile is a river.
8. I went to the shop to get - bread.
母さんは a bread と答えたのだけど
パンは数えられない名詞なので、
上記文の場合、数えられない名詞の時はa,anはつけないらしい。
え～
じゃ？
I went to the shop to get milk. でもOKか？と聞くと
そこは、I went to the shop to get a carton of milk.らしい。
では、1carton の時は a 1carton か？と聞くと
そこは 、I went to the shop to get 1 carton of milk.との事。

9. He broke a glass when he was washing dishes.
10. You should take an umbrella.
そしてここからはtheも加わり、 a,an,the,又はNone(←何も入れない)です。
1. Are you shopping for ___ health club to join so you can get in shape?
2. Shop wisely! You could end up choosing ___ wrong club and losing more money than pounds.
1. の答えはa
母さんはヘルスクラブは日本のスポーツクラブと同じで、
会員制でいつも同じクラブに行くのだと思い
自信満々でtheと答えました
ニャホッ！
が、
馴染みのクラブとは何処にも書いてないので、ここはa。
・・・なるほど確かに

2．こちらの答えはthe
こちらはすでに失敗したクラブを指しているのでthe。
難しい・・・・
とここで授業終了。
これらは馴れるしか無いと思い、先生にこの様な例文が沢山出てる
テキストはないか？と聞くと、来週までに作っておいてくれるとの事。
