この曲はFreddie Mercury（フレディ・マーキュリー、Vo.）によって書かれ、1977年のアルバム「News of the World（邦題：世界に捧ぐ）」の2曲目に収録された。シングルとして、アメリカBillboard Hot100の4位になり200万枚を売り上げた。UKシングル・チャートでは2位になった。
ライヴでは同じアルバム「News of the World 」の1曲目に収録の"We Will Rock You"に続いて演奏されることが多い。
アルバム「News of the World 」はアメリカではBillboard200チャートの3位になり、400万枚以上のセールスを上げた（4×プラチナム・ディスク認定）、イギリスではUKアルバム・チャートの4位になり、30万枚以上のセールスを上げた（プラチナム・ディスク認定）。
