Today is Mother’s Day. Every year my daughter gives me a present but nowadays she seems to be very busy so I wonder if she will remember this year. On a recent television progam, there was a questionnaire on what present a mother would want most. What a mother wants is a note or card expresssing thanks. So instead of spending a lot of money buying something, it might be a good idea to instead just send her a card saying “Thank you, mom!”

今日は母の日ですね。毎年娘はプレゼントをくれるのだけど、今年はいろいろと忙しそうなので覚えているかな？先日のテレビ番組で、お母さんは何が一番欲しいのかというアンケートの結果を発表していた。一番欲しいのは「ありがとう」と書いたカードだそうです。プレゼントにお金を沢山使うより、「お母さん、ありがとう！」と書いたカードをあげるのがベストかもしれませんね。
