A document circulated on social media on 28 January warned of a possible militant attack in the capital Nairobi, aimed at a school or other educational establishment. The warning, which is linked to an apparent threat from the Somalia-based extremist al-Shabab group, says the attack is planned before the end of January. Although the police dismissed the document as a hoax, a credible militant threat still exists. Members are reminded to exercise vigilance at all times.
