いくつかの家庭では、一時帰宅した際に、餓死してコタツや窓辺で死んでいるかつてのペット達を見なければならないことになってしまいました。
そういう家庭は決して少なくないと思われます。 テレビでもある家庭の一時帰宅の場面が報道されました。
飼い主は窓辺で静かに横たわっている白いねこを見つけて、悲しみのあまりその場にくずれおちました。
ねこを抱きかかえ、「○○ちゃんごめんね、ごめんね」 と泣いていました。
ボクは一生、あの場面のことを忘れません。

Some pet owners found their pets dead in the house because of the starvation, when they made a temporary visit.
Not few pet owners had a tragic reunion with their pets like this.
One of them was featured on TV.
She collapsed with grief after finding her white cat lying by the window.
She held the cat in her arms, crying, calling its' name "I'm sorry, I'm sorry".
I will never forget this scene.
