アイヌの文様に「モレウ」という渦巻があります。
スパイラルの形状に普遍的な強い生命力を感じます。
アイヌ伝統の文化を学びその美しさを広めていきたいという気持ちからデザインに取り入れてみました。
5月のハワイ島ヒロにて展示会を開く予定です。
日本に伝わる美しい古来のデザインや素材をハワイの皆さんに
ご紹介できる機会になれば嬉しいです。
"Moreu" is one of the distinctive Ainu design. It is the swirl. There is very strong mana in its spiral design.
Moreu is engraved on Tagua, ivory coconut seed.
Inspired from the beauty of Ainu patterns, I wanted to introduce the traditional Ainu culture and spread its beauty to the world.
I am having an exhibition in Hilo, Hawaii in May.
I will introduce the Japanese traditional design along
with the Japanese traditional weaving materials.
