When you hear the call "it's time to wake up", then we need to respond and head home. Some lightworkers ignore the call.

What if I don't answer? because we are all at different levels, there are different ramifications. If someone is not fully awake, spirit will continue to call you. If so, that soul is taken out of the divine plan.

That means that the soul will now focus on its own development, rather than be part of the larger plan.
