白人である立場にもかかわらず、正しい本当の日本の歴史を正直に誠実に受け入れ、人々に伝えて下さったヘンリー・ストークスさんに感謝します。この真実は、白人の方々には認めたくないことに違いないと思います。わたしがこのことを伝えてから、対応が変った白人の方も在りました。この歴史は、戦勝国にとっても、敗戦国にとっても、それまでの認識を逆転させるものです。どちらの側も、嘘を教えられてきたことを受け入れましょう。そして、本当の歴史を知って下さい。我が国日本は、それまでの白人優位の世界を変え、白人が植民地支配してきた国々を解放するために戦いました。世界で初めて人類の平等を提案した国です。日本は追い詰められ、日本から戦争を始めるように仕向けられました。そのことは今までも書いてきました。日本の歴代の天皇陛下は、日本と世界の平和を毎日祈ってこられました。だから、余程のことがなければ、日本から戦争を始めようとすることはありません。東條英機さんが首相になる時の様子を、武田邦彦先生の著書から引用します。

 

首相になる時、本命は対米協調派であった東久邇宮稔彦王だったが、対米開戦の最強硬派であった陸軍を抑えられるのは東條しかないこと、また天皇の意向に従う東條が首相として適当と木戸幸一内大臣が天皇に推挙、昭和天皇は「虎穴に入らずんば虎児を得ず、だね」と承認した。

木戸内大臣は「東條はお上への忠節ではいかなる軍人より抜きん出ているし、聖意を実行する逸材である」と述べている。

東條は首相任命の際、対米戦争回避に力を尽くすように指示され、それまで開戦派的姿勢をとっていたのをあらため、外相に対米協調派の東郷茂徳を起用して、戦争を前提としていた帝国国策遂行要領を白紙に戻した。

陸軍が強硬に反対していた日本軍の中国からの撤兵要求についてもアメリカに妥協案を出した。首相就任後の東條の方針は、陸軍大臣時代のものとは全く異なっていて、昭和天皇の意思の実現（平和路線）に全力を尽くそうとした。

しかし、もともとアメリカは戦争を望んでいたので、妥協案は全て拒否。11月末にはハル・ノートを日本に示して、（1）日本軍の中国からの即時全面撤兵、（2）満州国を認めない、という内容を通告した。対米協調派の東郷外務大臣「これは日本への自殺要求に等しい」と受け止め、外務大臣として「これは最後通牒である」と認めている。

対米開戦決定を上奏した東條は、開戦日の未明、首相官邸の自室で号泣したと記録されている。日本はアメリカの陰謀に勝てなかった。

 

だから、日本政府は最後まで昭和天皇の御意向に従おうとしたことが分かります。日本は侵略国家ではありません。日本は、日本を守り、植民地支配された国を解放するために戦いました。英雄、正義の国なんです。この真実を知って下さい。

 

I would like to grateful to Mr.Henry Stokes for honestly and sincerely accepting and conveying the true and correct history of Japan to people, despite being a white man. I'm sure white people would rather not acknowledge this Truth. After I shared this, some white people changed their attitude toward me. This history will reverse previous perceptions for both the victorious and defeated nations. Both sides should accept that they have been taught lies. And please know the true history. Our nation, Japan, fought to change the white-supremacy world and liberate Asian nations that had been colonized by white people. Japan was the first nation in the world to propose equality for all humanity. Japan was cornered, and was programmed starting the war from Japan. I've written about this before. Japan's successive emperors have prayed every day for peace in Japan and the world. Therefore, Japan would never try to start war voluntarily, unless in extreme circumstances. I will quote from the Professor Kunihiko Takeda's book regarding the circumstances when the Hideki Tojo became Prime Minister.

When the Tojo became prime minister, the reading candidate was the Higashikuni Naruhikoou, who was in favor of cooperation with the United States, but the Home Minister Kido Koichi recommended him to the Emperor, believing that only the Tojo could restrain the Army, which was the most hardline in favor of war with the United States, and that Tojo, who would follow the Emperor's wishes, was the most suitable prime minister. The Emperor Showa approved, saying, "You can't catch the tiger cub without entering the tiger's den."
Home Minister Kido stated, "the Tojo's loyalty to the Emperor is unsurpassed by any other military man, and he is an outstanding man who can carry out the Sacred will."
When the Tojo was appointed Prime Minister, he was instructed to do everything in his power to avoid war with the United States. He mended his previous pro-war stance, appointed the Togo Shigenori, who was in favor of cooperation with the United States, as Foreign Minister, and put the Imperial National Policy Implementation Guidelines back on the drawing board, which had been based on the assumption of war.
He also offered a compromise proposal to the United States regarding the demand for the withdrawal of Japanese troops from China, which the Army strongly opposed. The Tojo's policies after becoming Prime Minister were completely different from those of his time as Army Minister, and he tried to do his utmost to realize the will of Emperor Showa (a peaceful course).
However, the United States had originally wanted war, so it rejected all compromise proposals. At the end of November, it presented the Hull Note to Japan, which called for (1) the immediate and complete withdrawal of Japanese troops from China, and (2) the refusal to recognize Manchukuo. The Foreign Minister Togo, a favor of cooperation with the United States, saw this as "tantamount to a request for Japan to commit suicide," and acknowledged as Foreign Minister that "it was an ultimatum."
The Tojo, who adressed the decision to open war with the United States to the Emperor, is recorded as having wept bitterly in his room at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in the predawn morning on the day the war began. Japan could not defeat America's conspiracy.

Therefore, it is clear that the Japanese government sought to follow the wishes of Emperor Shōwa until the very end. Japan was not an aggressor nation. Japan fought to protect itself and free colonized countries. Japan is a nation of heroes and justice. Please know this Truth.

 

 

 

 

最近、東條英機さんの曾孫の東條英利さんが書かれた「東條家の証言」を読む機会を持ちました。英利さんは、人々が東條英機さんをどのような人物だと思ったかをお書きになっています。戦前と戦後では、真逆と言えるほど大きく違います。戦後の日本人は東條さんを独裁者だと思っている人も少なくないようですが、戦前の人達の多くは、東條さんのことを真面目で優しい人だと思っていたようです。

 

英利さんは、「理想的日本人」として語られることが多かったと仰っています。困った人を見ると放っておけない人で、東條さんに助けられた人が沢山居るそうで、そのようなエピソードが沢山あるそうです。本人がモットーにされていたのが、誠実、忍耐、努力だったようで、兎に角真面目で几帳面なかなりの努力家だったようです。妻のかつ子さんは「真っ直ぐな人間、厳格で生真面目な反面、優しくて涙もろい人」と仰っていたようです。英利さんも親しみがこもった様子で、サザエさんのお父さんの磯野波平さんが東條英機さんの人物像にぴったり当てはまると仰っています。休日の様子が、禿げ頭に丸眼鏡、口ひげに浴衣を着てまさにそのものだったらしいです。戦後の日本人には、このような本当の東條さんの姿も隠されてきたのだと思います。

 

当時のことを重光外相がこのように書き遺したそうです。「政治家も実業家も総司令部と直接間接連絡を付けて、自己の身体自己の仕事に有利に働こうとした。戦犯指定を逃るるために、政治家も軍人も競って平和主義者となった。昨日まで軍閥の機関であった新聞はこぞって過去を清算し、手のひらを返すごとく占領軍を謳歌し、軍部および過去の指導者を攻撃し始めた。終戦直後の昨今の状況ほど情けない日本の姿はあるまい」それ以来、「東條英機の悪口を言わない者は、日本人ではない」と言われる時代となったそうです。

 

東條家の長男は皆樣「英」の字を継いでこられたそうです。終戦の日、東條家は「戦争状態に入った」と仰っています。英利さんは、「東條家の長男一家は、暗殺などの脅迫が相当あり4ヶ月で4回引っ越しし、途中、馬小屋の納屋に隠れ住んだりもした。」と仰っています。一家が全員、青酸カリ（結局使われることはなかったが実際に用意されていた）で自決しなければならないと考えるほど追い込まれていたそうです。英機さんの長男秀隆さんは、雇ってくれる人が居なくなり無職になったそうです。英利さんは、「そういった事情で、牛乳配達や祖母の内職、裁縫といったもので、食いつなぐしかなかったのです。また、「東條家にはものを売るな」ということで、世間は東條家に対して食べ物も着るものも売ってくれませんでした。」と仰っています。遺族会への入会も拒否され、遺族年金ももらえなかったそうです。「サンフランシスコ講和条約までの６年間は、遺族年金が支給されることはありませんでした。」とあります。「東條家は全国民から敵視されていたわけです。」と仰っています。

 

英利さんの父であり、英機さんの孫の英勝さんの壮絶な経験の部分を読む度辛くなりますが、東條家の皆樣は国民の誰も経験したことのない苦難を経験してこられています。英勝さんは、小学校２年生で学校の全ての教員から担任になるのを拒否されたそうです。入るクラスが無かったのに、親には心配を掛けまいと、とにかく毎日登校したそうです。「でもクラスがありませんから、一人で校庭のポールに登っては、２階の教室を覗いて過ごすという日々が続いたそうです。」と仰っています。それからしばらくして担任を引き受ける先生が現れたそうですが、今度は同級生などから親の敵とされて血だらけになるまでいじめられることになったそうです。石を投げられたり、棒を持って追いかけられることもあり、一人なら逃げられるのに、下の妹や弟がいるたので自分が上に覆い被さって殴られるのをずっと我慢したこともあったそうです。それでも、おばあさまからは、決してお返しをしてはいけないと言われていたようで、何があっても我慢を強いられたのが英勝さんだったそうです。このようなことを想像するするだけでも辛くなりますが、なぜ、英雄の東條さんのご一家がこのように酷い扱いをされなければならないのでしょうか？

 

東條英機さんは、ご家族に「俺の自己弁護はするな」と言い残されていました。この遺書からも分かるように、日本のため、世界の平和のために誠心誠意働いてこられた誠実で完璧な方です。完璧に自分の責務を全うし、東京裁判と呼ばれるリンチ（武田先生はあれはリンチだと仰っています）でも一切の自己弁護をする事無く、国家弁護と天皇擁護に徹する姿勢であったとされています。最後まで日本と世界の平和を気に掛けておられました。苦しい状況に追い込まれても、最後まで毅然とした態度を貫き、人間の生きるべき手本を示された方だと思います。当時の日本人も、今の日本人も、このような方が総理大臣であったことを誇りに思うべきです。東條家がこのように非難され不当に扱われるのは、あまりにも理不尽です。非難されるべきなのは、占領軍と手のひら返しをした人達です。ですので、戦犯とされてきた方々を初め、靖国の英靈の方々は我が国と世界の平和のために戦った英雄です。英雄は英雄として扱われるべきです。真の英雄が大切にされない世の中で、真の平和が築けるとは思えません。真の平和を求めるなら、平和のために一番貢献した人、東條英機さんを大切にしましょう！！

 

わたしは約10年前に武田先生のブログから東條英機さんのことを知り、東條さんと他のＡ級戦犯とされてきた方々が奉られている殉国七士廟に参らせてもらいました。靖国神社は益々多くの方が参られるようになりましたが、こちらは海沿いの山の上にあり行かれる方も少ないようです。出来れば、そちらにも参られることをお勧めします。

 

今回、このことを書くのにかなり時間を使いましたが、この真実を神樣はみなさんと共有して欲しいと思われているようで、これを書く間わたしが集中できるように曇りと雨の日を多くし、時々晴れを創って下さっていたと思います。曇りと雨の日でも、神樣はわたしを応援するナンバーを沢山見せて下さっていました。

Recently, I had the opportunity to read “Testimony of the Tojo Family,” written by Mr. Hidetoshi Tojo, the great-grandson of Mr. Hideki Tojo. Mr. Hidetoshi had written about what kind of person people thought the Hideki Tojo was. The pre-war and post-war perceptions are so different that they could almost be considered complete opposites. While post-war Japanese people seem to think of the Tojo as a dictator are not a few, many pre-war Japanese people seem to have thought of him as a sincere and kind person. 

 

Mr. Hidetoshi has said that he was often described as the "ideal Japanese." He couldn't ignore people in trouble, and it seems many were helped by him and it seems there are numerous such anecdotes. His mottos seem to were sincerity, patience, and diligence. He seems to was a coscientious, meticulous, and extremely hardworking person. His wife, Katsuko, seems to described him as "a straightforward person, strict and earnest, but also kind and easily moved to tears." Mr.Hidetoshi has also spoken affectionately that Mr. Isono Namihei, the father from the anime Sazae-san, perfectly matched Hideki Tojo's character. His appearance on holidays—bald head, round glasses, mustache, and wearing a yukata—apparently looked just like him. I believe also this true image of the Hideki Tojo has been hidden from postwar Japanese people. 

 

It is said that the Foreign Minister Shigemitsu  has wrote about that time,"Both politicians and businessmen sought direct and indirect connections with the Supreme Command to advance their own body and work. To avoid being designated as war criminals, politicians and military officers alike became pacifists. The newspapers, which had until yesterday been organs of the military clique, all began to put their past behind them and, as made a 180-degree turn in attitide, began to praise the occupying army and attack the military and past leaders. Japan has never looked more pitiful than it does now, just after the end of the war." Since then, it seems that an era then came when it was said that "anyone who does not speak ill of the Hideki Tojo is not Japanese." 

 

It seems that all eldest son of the Tojo family has inherited the character "Hide" for generations. Mr. Hidetoshi has said that on the day the war ended, the Tojo family "entered a state of war." He has said, "The eldest son's family of the Tojo household received so many threats such as assassination that they had to move four times in four months, and at one point they even hid and lived in a barn in a horse stable." The whole family was so driven that they considered committing suicide by cyanideo of potassium (which was not used in the end, but was prepared).  Mr. Hidetaka, Mr. Hideki's eldest son, seems to became unemployed when no one would hire him. Mr. hidetoshi has said, “Due to these circumstances, we could only make ends meet by with milk deliveries, my grandmother's piecework and sewing. Furthermore, people refused to sell the Tojo family food or clothing, because it is understood that ‘Don't sell anything to the Tojo family.’ We was denied membership in the bereaved families association and was unable to receive survivor's pension benefits. For the six years until the San Francisco Peace Treaty, no survivors' pensions were paid. The Tojo family was viewed with hostility by the entire nation."  

 

It's painful to read about the harrowing experiences of Mr. Hidekatsu, Mr. Hidetoshi's father and Mr. Hideki's grandson, but the Tojo family has endured hardships no other citizen has ever experienced. It seems, when Mr. Hidekatsu was in the second grade of elementary school, every teacher at his school refused to become his homeroom teacher. It seems, even though there were no classes that would accept him, he went to school every day anyway so as not to worry his parents. “But since there was no class for him, the Hidekatu spent his days climbing the pole in the schoolyard alone and peering into the second-floor classrooms,” Mr. Hidetoshi has said. It seems, some time later, it was finally found a teacher took over as homeroom teacher, but next time, his classmates and others viewed him as their parent's enemy and bullied him until he was covered in blood. It seems there was a time when he was thrown stones and chased with sticks, and although he could have escaped if he had been alone, because he had younger siblings, there were times when he has placed himself over them and endure the beatings. Despite this, his grandmother had apparently told him never to retaliate, and it was Hidekatu who was forced to endure no matter what happened. It is painful to even imagine such things, but why did the family of such the heroic Hideki Tojo have to be treated so cruelly? 

 

Mr. Hideki Tojo had told his family, "Don't try to defend myself." As can be seen from this will, he was a sincere and perfect man who worked with his  whole heart for Japan and world peace. It is said that he perfectly fulfilled his duties, and even during the lynching known as the Tokyo Trials (which Professor Takeda says was a lynching), he never attempted to defend himself, but rather devoted to defending the nation and the Emperor. Even when forced into a difficult situation, he maintained a resolute attitude to the end, and I believe he set an example for how humans should live. Japanese people at that time, and Japanese people today, should be proud that such a man was our Prime Minister. It is extremely unreasonable that the Tojo family has been bramed and treated unjustly in this way. It is the occupying forces and those who made a 180-degree turn in attitide who should be blamed. Starting with those who have been called war criminals, the Superior Spirits at Yasukuni Shrine are heroes who fought for peace in our country and the world. Heroes should be treated as heroes. I don't think we can build true peace in a world where true heroes are not cherished. If you seek true peace, let's cherish the Hideki Tojo, the person who contributed the most to peace!!

About ten years ago, I learned about Mr. Hideki Tojo from the Professor Takeda's blog and visited the Mausoleum of the Seven Patriots, where Tojo and others designated as Class A war criminals are enshrined. More and more people seem to have been visiting Yasukuni Shrine, but this Mausoleum is located on a mountain by the sea, so it seems that not many people visit. If possible, I recommend visiting there as well.

 

It took me a long time to write this, but I think the God wanted me to share this Truth with everyone, so the God created many cloudy and rainy days and occasional sunny days so that I could concentrate while whiting this. Even on cloudy and rainy days, the God showed me many numbers that cheered me on.
