However, these days, soccer is getting attention of public sports funs, as the reasons, Beckham had been transfered to LA Galaxy, and the MNT played in the final of the FIFA Confederation Cup in S.Africa this year. Also at Beijing Olympic in 2008, the WNT won the Gold medal of women's soccer.
In Atalanta, since next year, Atlanta BEAT will participate the WPS, and couple of other teams will join this games same time. Since they try to find good supporters and environments more than before, this professional sports will be one of semi-major sports.
When I checked its web site, they have only 6 players and no goalkeepers are acquired since then, and also no home stadium are settled. In January, they are going to have the Draft to get a bunch of talented players, maybe, new team will start completely since next February in 2010, just 1 month before the opening game.

アトランタは来シーズンから女子プロサッカーチームが発足します。同時にいくつかチームがWPSに参戦するとのことです。WPSは支援者の獲得や環境の整備に尽力しているので、人気が上がって行くことと思います。
BEATのホームページによると、所属選手は６人でGKもいないそうで、さらにはホームグラウンドも未定だそうです。１月にドラフトがあるので、そのときに頭数はそろうでしょうが、チームの始動は２月になりそうですね。
