Good job, Weather Man
You were totally right
Today we had a crazy snowstorm as he said yesterday
...
When I was watching the morning news, they said that some schools were closed and some school buses were cancelled because of the snowstorm alert
. So I was wondering about whether the streetcar was in service or not today... Even in a snowstorm, I had to go to work. I woke up Scott to ask him, then he mumbled "yes, it's running!" with his sleepy head. I'm sorry I woke you up, but I didn't know...
I was waiting for the streetcar at the stop
. The stop is right in front of our place, so it's very convenient. I'm usually lucky with the timing of the streetcar. But you know... the streetcar wouldn't come soon on this particular day... I was waiting and waiting for the streetcar and thinking about what I should do. I thought maybe I could walk to the subway station, but it would probably take about 12-15 minutes in this storm.... Mmm... I can't be late for work
. I finally gave up and started crossing the street
. Then I noticed the streetcar was coming. Oh, man...
I had already crossed the street to the north and again to the west... now to get back to the stop (where I was) I had to cross to the south and then to the east! I had to run around the intersection and draw a big beautiful cube in the storm. Loser!
I was smart to wear serious snow boots today...
When I came back home from work, the storm was even more crazy!! I couldn't see anything! Look at the 2 pictures above comparing the weather during summertime and the weather today
.
See what I mean?
I have learned 2 things about the hoody coat in Toronto.
One is that it is seriously designed for people who live with this kind of weather, and another is that its fur is for seriously protecting our faces against the crazy cold, that it's not for just fashion like it is in Japan.
I am learning about Canadian Winter, day by day.
