今日はアメリカ大統領選挙の日でしたね
夕方から、お友達とパブに行っていたのだけど、
もちろんパブのＴＶでも、アメリカの大統領選挙のライブが流れておりました
帰りにお友達のデイブのおうちに寄り道して、みんなでＤＶＤを見ていると、
途中でＴＶライブに切り替えられ、オバマ氏の勝利スピーチを見つめたのでした
政治のことはよくわからない私ですが、歴史に残るシーンを見ているのだなぁと、何となく感動。
そして、ふと
『この歴史に残る一瞬を 写真におさめるべきなのではないのか？』
と使命感を抱き、急いでカメラを用意したのだけど。。。
ちょうどぴったりスピーチが終わってしまった。

なので スコットの家族、政治の話が始まったらもう誰にも止められない・・・。
レストランであろうと、どこであろうと・・・。
先月のカナダ総選挙でも、今回のアメリカ大統領選挙でもそれはもぉ大騒ぎ
ここは国会かっ
っというくらい、白熱した討論が始まる
冗談ぬきで国会乱闘並みなのです
TOEICテストの英単語帳とかにのっている、
『こんなん、普段使わへんやろ～』
と思うような単語が、バンバン飛びかう
そんな時は、遠いまなざしでＴＶでも見ているように、事のなりゆきを見つめるのみ私です
がしかし たまに、日本の政治について私に発言権が与えられる事がある。。。
実際これが一番つらいとき。。。
ちょっと、日本の国会を背中に背負ってる気分になります。
ほんの少しばかり興味はあるんですよ。。。 でも難しい。。。
大学時代、最強に難しくてチャレンジングな国際政治のクラスを、あえて選んで勉強したこともあった。。。
いつか役立つと思ってつらいレポートの日々を耐え抜いたのに、役立ってねぇぇぇ！！
スコット家に嫁いだからには 避けては通れない道。
少しずつ勉強するかな・・・。
Today was the election day of the next American President It's big here in Canada, too.
It always surprises me that even young people are interested in politics much more in other countries compared with young people in Japan. I don't know much about politics, as a typical young Japanese. When I was a university student, I took a course of International Politics. It was very interesting
. Other than that, I don't know anything!
We went to a pub with Scott's fiends and watched the election on TV. After the pub, we went to his friend Dave's place and started watching a DVD but suddenly Dave realized the election was over and changed the channel! Yes, Obama won
We watched his speech. I thought I had to take pictures of this speech. This moment is going down in history! I was in panic and I barely took a picture of his speech.
Scott's mother used to be a politician, therefore his family often has a big battle regarding politics
. I always feel like I'm in the House of Parliament!! In that situation, I will be very quiet like a stenographer, except that I don't understand what they are talking about! They sometimes "give me the floor" regarding Japanese politics. But since I don't know anything about Japanese politics, that's pretty tough
.
