１０月１０日は結婚記念日
４周年です
October 10th was our 4th anniversary. Time flies, eh?
スコットの仕事が休みの日は雨が多いのだけど（雨男疑惑）、本日は快晴
トロント市の西端にある、ハイパーク
という公園に散歩に行ってきました
Usually it rains on Scott's days off, but today was a beautiful day! We went to High Park
to take a walk.
トロントは結構な都会だが、街中にはたくさん大きな公園がある。
中でも、ハイパークはトロントで一番大きな公園
１６１ヘクタールもある！
（っといってもうまく想像できませんが、まぁ想像できないくらい大きいということです。）
公園の中には、キッズパーク
や、スポーツ施設
、動物園
、レストラン
などなど、色々なレクリエーション施設がある。
とにかく、家から地下鉄で２０分
近くにこんな大きな公園があるなんてうれしい
I can't imagine exactly how big 161 hectares is, but it looks like a forest to me. Anyway it's the largest park in Toronto. It takes about 20 minutes by subway from our place. We are lucky to have such a big park in the city.
地図で、『The Wild Side』 と説明されている小道を散歩することに。
なんともワイルドで怪しい入り口に軽くおじけずく私・・・。
一応、『熊とかはいないよね？
』 と相方に確認。念のためね。。。
There are some trails down there, and we took THE WILD SIDE. The entrance is a little bit sketchy. It is WILD! I just had to make sure with Scott that no bears were there...
Grenadier池にそって歩く
とっても大きな池で、白鳥やカモ、カナダ雁など、野鳥の楽園。
By the Grenadier Pond, where many birds get together and have a bird meeting.
カモがご挨拶にきてくれました
A duck came to say hello!
最近めっきり寒くなって、紅葉も始まりました
It's getting cold here... the leaves are turning red! And the squirrels are jumping around.

本日のランチは、ベーコン、アボカド、サンドライトマト、ブリーチーズのサンドイッチです
今日は記念日なので、なんとスコットが作ってくれましたぁ！ （写真をとる前にかじってしまった・・・）
Today's special sandwich was with bacon, avocado, sundried tomatoes and brie cheese, made by Chef Scott for our anniversary! It was delicious!!
公園の中にあるミニ動物園にもいってみた。 白い鹿、初めて見た
There is a small zoo in the park, where we found some white deer! I'd never seen a white deer.
カピバラさん発見
Look!! There are capybaras!! One of our favorite animals.
リャマさんのベストショットを撮ろうと、スコットがフェンスにへばりついていると・・・
Scott pressed himself up against the fence and tried to take some good shots of llamas...
機嫌を損ねたリャマが猛突進してきたっ
Somehow we made him upset, so he came over and attacked us.
リャマに威嚇されたことで、さらに思い出にのこる記念日になったかなぁ
Thanks to that llama, it became an unforgettable anniversary.
帰りは、ハイパークの近くにある、リトル・ポーランドに寄り道。
トロントは移民の都市。
市内にさまざまな国のコミュニティーが点在しており、独特の雰囲気が味わえる。
本格的なお国料理も食べれるしねぇ
ポーランドのドーナッツというものをお土産に買って帰った。
お味は 『う～ん。。。』 
今度行くときは、レストランでちゃんとしたポーランド料理に挑みたいと思う。
On our way home, we hung around in Little Poland, a small neighbourhood near High Park. We got some Polish donuts there. They tasted OK, but they weren't that great...
I don't know how real Polish food tastes, but we found some restaurants that looked nice. So we'd like to try them out sometime.
とにかく、なかなか楽しい一日となりました
次は、結婚記念日（ディナー編）。
