7月頭、コンドミニアムに引越した
（スコットの両親が所有していて、しばらくそこに住まわせてもらうことになりました
）
7月2日
午前中クリーニング業者が入るので、夜に少し荷物を運ぶ予定にしていた
がしかし
夜8時半にコンドに行くと、業者は到着したばかり・・・。
業者の人たちに、『なんで来た?
』みたいな顔されて、
ってゆーかこっちが 『なんでまだ居る?』と言い返したい気持ちをグッとこらえ、“いい仕事”をしていただきたいので謙虚にやりとり。
邪魔にならないところに荷物を置かせてもらい、スコットの両親宅へ帰った。
きっと明日にはピッカピカになっていると願いつつ…
7月3日
午前中、残りの荷物を持ってピッカピカになっているはずのコンドに到着。
リビングからの眺めに感動していると、あれっ?
なんじゃこれは？？
むむっ？ゴミやん
むむむっ？これ落書き消えてない？
むむむむっ？この汚れはなんじゃっ？？
綺麗になっとれへんやなかぁ～っ
なんと、ピッカピカになっているのかと思いきや、パッと見まぁまぁ掃除したかな程度だったのだ
細かい所、気になり出したらとまらない私たち２人
所有者のスコットママに相談し、管理会社にとりあえず連絡したが、自分たちで掃除したほうがよっぽど気持ちよく生活できそうなので、業者の再掃除は断った。。。
7月4日
日本から引越しパックで送った荷物が届いた
送り出す際、ものすごく放漫な態度であしらわれた為（あまりの怒りに責任者と話をしたほど）、だいぶ心配していたが14箱とも無事（壊れたりもせず）届いたので一安心
がしかし、部屋の大掃除が終わるまでは何もできない
しばらくダンボールに埋もれて生活することとなった…。
それ以降、掃除と買い物を繰り返し…
キッチン用品を扱ういくつかのお店では、毎日のように出没する私たちの事を覚えていて、まるで居酒屋の常連客並の対応である。
そんなこんなで、スコット両親の助けを得て、近頃やっと少し落ち着きました～
綺麗になったコンドは、すごく快適

ダウンタウンにあって、オンタリオ湖のほとりに建つコンド
下のパークでたまにピクニックします
玄関ではシーサーがお出迎え
カウンター付きキッチン
ちびっ子の私には棚が高くてとどかず、ステップを使って毎日踏み台昇降運動状態
ダイニング手前の空間には、ラグを買ってゴロゴロできるスペースをつくりたいなぁと考え中
リビングはこんな感じで、奥のデスクにパソコンおいてます
ＴＶの左の窓からはダウンタウンが見える
ＴＶの右の窓からはオンタリオ湖がみえるよ
ちなみに白いのはヨットの群れ。
寝室からはＣＮタワーがちょこっと見えるのがお気に入り
そんなに広いわけではないですが、私たちには十分だし、眺めがよいのでとっても気に入ってます

In the beginning of July, we moved from Scott's parents' house to a downtown condo that they own.
It has a very nice view and is very convenient.
July 2nd, the day before we were ready to move in, the condo should have been cleaned by professionals in the morning. (There was a tenant living in the condo until the end of June, and the contract says that the condo must be cleaned after a tenant moves out.)
So we went to the condo to drop off a few bags at 8:30 p.m.
But, the cleaners had just arrived there! At 8:30p.m.!
And, when they saw us, they had faces like "why are you here?" It was more like "why are YOU here?" for us!
But we didn't want them to be upset in the middle of their job, so we asked them nicely if we could put our bags on the bed. Then we got out of there.
July 3rd, we moved all the remaining stuff to the condo, which was supposed to be clean
. But it didn't require any time to figure it out that they didn't really clean it at all.
So we decided to clean it again by ourselves...
July 4th, our 14 boxes that we'd shipped from Japan arrived from the moving company. There were no problems like things being broken or something. Perfect. But obviously we had to clean the condo first.
After cleaning a bit we went shopping for kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc. The "Kitchen Stuff Plus" staff even remember our names now because we've gone so often... Then, a week later we went to IKEA to buy furniture. We spent 5 hours there Scott's mom called after we arrived, then called again before we left... She couldn't believe we were still there.
Anyway, it's not a huge place but it's cozy, and we especially like the view.
And, after a lot of sweat and effort and help from Scott's parents and friends, we have finally settled down in our new place.
