SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor will appear as a guest speaker at the Oxford University next month.
Speaking on Kansas radio station 98.9 The Rock, Taylor revealed he had been approached to speak but was surprised as he hadn't done very well in school himself.
He said: "I've been asked to speak at Oxford University, which is very ironic seeing as I didn't graduate from high school. They took a vote about who they would want to speak at their student union and I was the number one pick, apparently, so I was like 'Yeah, okay, let's do this.' I'm probably going to swear and sweat a lot."
A listing for the event, scheduled for June 8, notes that Taylor joined SLIPKNOT "after being approached by the original band members whilst working in a sex shop in Des Moines," adding that his "commitment to the rock and roll lifestyle saw him develop an alcohol problem, overdose on cocaine and attempt to commit suicide."
Taylor has reportedly been clean since 2006.
