Foamsanity Hits Orlando
Everyone knew that the jawdropping Galaxy edition of the Nike Air Foamposite One would cause release hysteria. After being pulled from the NikeStore release roster earlier this week, the only chance of getting a pair was to get out there and take your chances at one of the select few retailer spots that would be carrying them. In NYC, scores of determined sneakerheads camped outside of stores in sleeping bags and lawn chairs for over a week to improve their Galaxy prospects. It was clear that this http://ameblo.jp/saniling would be a blockbuster of a release, with the limited nature of the shoe, the current unquenchable thirst for Foamposites and of course the wild galactic theme, but the scene down at the Florida Mall in Orlando tonight just raised lowered the bar for sneaker release mayhem. From early reports from DJ Clark Kent and others on the scene, over 3,000 people showed up with the crowd getting so out of control that even the small army of cops in riot gear couldn handle the charging crowd trying to inch their way closer to their pair of Galaxy Foams, and there have even been reports of shots being fired. Around 10:30pm, well before the intended midnight release, police shut down the mall and sent the unruly mob home with no sneakers.
No word yet on how a rescheduled release will play out down in Orlando, but we sure we hear plenty more stories from the Galaxy releases around the country by morning. We know that it easier said than done, but just maybe, it might be time for these retailers to start looking into putting some better systems in place to avoid these kinds of unfortunate situations. Or maybe Nike can just stop putting out shoes that people want so badly. Nike is just taking advantage of u dumb f*cking monkeys. U all are sheep. Can u blame Nike? F*ck no. Supply and demand u morons. These obama loving blacks are so stupid. All they are about are sneakers. The only people who wear foamposites and jordans nowadays are blacks and yo-boy wiggers. That is the demographic that Nike caters to. Because they know all u morons will kill each other and spend your government money on sneakers. Galaxy Foams!?!??! Give me a f*cking break. If you leave enough of them stuck with thier ill gotten gains , They will feel the pain and loss that a true sneaker lover feels when frozen out of a release due to limited numbers and a lack of a conection at the shoe store. " Most resellers are "SCUM BAGS" looking to snagg a months salary off these kids who are lucky enough to have an after school job or an OG like me. Been there done that not getting up to wait in line for some shoes I might not get based on sheer numbers and a place in line. Nike is getting free publicity off this. Its like oil speculation. They know craziness like this drives demand up, which drives prices up, which makes the punks put some shoes up and sell them for triple the price. And they not selling any all-star releases in Orlando. Not even going to stores anymore. Just going to focus on my grails. If they upped the amount of sneakers they produced with every release, prices (from resellers) would fall because they would be available longer at retail price. Do they not realize that if they had a bigger amount of kicks available with each run, it would make them a lot more revenue AND there would be a whole lot less chaos at releases (which they probably don't even care about honestly). Like a lot of you older dudes are sayin', you could walk in a store back in the say pretty much whenever and pick up a pair of j's. Honestly, Nike could make that happen by increasing their supply by a substantial amount. Keep up with demand Nike! Basic economics. Hell, it's common sense! It's time for a change. This is completely insane and needs to stop.
Just FYI to all of Orlando - THEY ARE NOT SELLING ANY ALL STAR SHOES this weekend. I went back this morning at 10am, and the crowd now all started lining up at each shoe store in the mall for all stars. Still mad cops and a helicopter on patrol. OPD insists no store in this DISTRCT will sell any all stars. Everyone lined up to buy whats on shelves. Orlando clearly has the demand for multiple QS accounts but this is not good for future releases. Rumor is they will send all pairs back to Nike. Not sure if it's true. What I do know, all those dudes still up there, if you ain't current on your child support, have a degree or job, get the hell out of line.
I was there for some of that nonsense in Orlando. Facts: Footlocker told everyone the line would not start until 11pm Thursday night for those who wanted to camp all night. When people asked them what to do at 11, they said "just run to be first". My plan was to roll up at 1045, if I could be one of first 50, I would wait, I got there, saw this and just turned right around lol.
First of all we should be CLEAR with the fact that people been acting Crazy for kicks since the 80's, any body who has been a REAL Sneaker Collector since back in the day remembers dudes getting shot for just stepping on somebody's kicks not to mention crews running up on dudes and making them run there kicks!! A practice that hasn't really been seen anymore, and I think all the Little Hype Beast Sneaker Heads should be glad, cause they would be taking all you lil Bitches shoes!!! Lol. Now every one pay close attention!!! Several years ago all you were hearing on the news was the demise of Malls, and how they were Losing business, and as a Result of that Foot Locker, Foot Action. and all the other mall Sneaker retailers were getting there Asses handed to them by UNDFTD, Goliath, Shoe Gallery, Walter's, and many other Spots that became Go To Spots for releases!!! With that said YES NIKE is to Fucking blame for all this BAd shit happening, cause this is the plan they them selves Implemented to revive the Mall Sneaker Franchises!! Now this is what you get!! Mad Fucking Sneaker Nerds running through parking lots, sleeping in tents, and people doing what they do. So any Ass Hole that want's to sit and defend Nike when they know clearly that Nike is fully aware of what is going to happen, cause it's been, and will continue to, yet they still do it to get these Franchises back in Play with the sneaker Addicts!!!, and to top it off they are charging more for the shoes, and they are being made with SHIT quality. The Game is Dead, and we the heads let it get there by Not demanding that Nike or Jordan stop the bullshit, and step up the Quality. There starting all this point blan, make enough shoes make everybody happy, we make them happy by bying the product, with out us it would be no the. That's the truth, they can give back 2 the community now there over achievers and they can start by suppling more high demand shoes that everybody can enjoy. Wow !!!!
