Invitational Tourney: Poor Weather Conditions Affect Our Performance Against Japan - Taiwo Sogelola

Nigeria's Future Eagle defender Taiwo Sogelola has attributed their heavy loss to Japan to poor weather conditions

After suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to the Netherlands in the opening game, the Nigerians were expected to bounce back in the second game but it was never meant to be as they lost 6-1.

M & N FC defender said they came into the game prepared but the wet condition affected their performances.

" We were ready for the game, but the persistent rainfall really hurts our performance.

Moreover, we were playing against the home team which understood the weather situation.

We will bounce back and pick the needed victory when we face the United States on Sunday", he said.

Sogelola is one of the players who has played the entire minutes of the tournament.
