Nature's Sunshine Products Sees 4Q Loss

PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Nature's Sunshine Products Inc., a maker of vitamins, herbal tablets and other food supplements, on Friday projected a fourth-quarter loss and reduced its operating income forecast for the period, citing higher costs and other factors.
The company also said it has widened the scope of a previous accounting review of quarterly results to include fiscal 2005 and earlier, after it uncovered questionable transactions of its foreign subsidiaries. Its shares fell $1, or 5.6 percent, to $17 on the Nasdaq.
