WWEのスーパースターでCOO（最高執行責任者）も務めるトリプルH 《ハンター・ハースト・ヘルムスリー（Hunter Hearst Helmsley）》（52歳・本名ポール・レヴェック）（WWE会長ビンス・マクマホンの義理の息子でもある）が現役引退を表明した。
※ニックネームは「残忍な知能犯 or 知的な暗殺者 (Cerebral Assassin)」「ザ・ゲーム (The Game)」「王者の中の王者 (The King of Kings)」など。
現地時間の25日、アメリカのテレビ局ESPNの番組「First Take」に出演した際、キャスターのステファン・A・スミスとのインタビューの中で「私はいま、タレントをスカウトすること、WWEの将来を担うタレントを育てることに集中している。次のステップはリングシューズから離れること。もう試合をすることは2度とないだろう」と語った。
トリプルHはキラー・コワルスキーの指導を受けて1992年にアメリカ東海岸でデビュー。WCWを経て1995年にWWEへ移籍し、ショーン・マイケルズ、チャイナらとのDX（D-ジェネレーションX）でトップ戦線に駆け上がり、ザ・ロック、“ストーンコールド“スティーブ・オースチン、ジ・アンダーテイカーらと連戦を展開した。また、リック・フレアーをメンターとして仰ぎ、フレアー、若き日のランディ・オートン、バティースタとエボリューションを結成し、オートンとバティスタをWWEの主役に育て上げた。
いわゆる世界王座獲得回数は史上3位となる14回（WWE王座9回、世界ヘビー級王座5回）。2度のロイヤルランブル優勝、史上2人目となるグランドスラム達成など、数々の偉業を達成し、2019年にはDXとしてWWE殿堂入りを果たした。WWEビンス・マクマホン会長の娘ステファニーと01年にリングストーリー上で強引に結婚したが、実際にも私生活で2003年にビンスの娘ステファニー・マクマホンと結婚し、その後はWWE役員の一人として主にスカウト部門、育成部門で手腕を発揮した。現在のNXT2.0の発展もトリプルHの功績によるところが大きい。
この数年はレスラーではなくWWE上級副社長としての業務に主軸を置いたため、闘う機会は激減。2019年6月29日の両国国技館において中邑真輔とのコンビでサモア・ジョー＆ロバート・ルードと闘った試合が現役最後の試合となった（TV＆PPVイベントでは同年6月７日にサウジアラビアで開催された“スーパー・ショーダウン”におけるオートン戦）。
昨秋にウイルス性肺炎を悪化させて吐血していたとし、心疾患の病気も抱えて心臓機能が大幅に低下。心不全として除細動器を埋め込んでいるという。一時は裏方の業務からも離れていた。
俺はトリプルＨがホントにホントに大嫌いなプロレスラーでした（これはリスペクトの意味を込めて）。絶対的ヒールで技の一つ一つにインパクトもあり、攻める時は徹底してエグい反則技で躊躇なく相手を痛めつける所がホントに憎っくきトリプルＨって感じでしたw
そしてやっぱりランディ・オートンとバティスタをあそこまで育てた功績はホントに大きいと思います
きっとまだ身体が健康だったら52歳でもトリプルＨはプロレスラーをきっと続けていたと思いますよね？
これからは素晴らしいプロレスラーを沢山スカウトして、また新しい時代を作れるような凄いレスラーを育てて欲しいですね！

一時期はWWE（WWF）にホントにハマっていて特に1998〜2005頃まではビデオやDVDを買いまくり、東京へ行ってはプロレスショップでTシャツやらフィギュアやら買ったもんです😄当時はまだネットで色々買える時代でもなかったのでw
特に俺がWWEで好きだったレスラーはババレイ・ダッドリー（現ブリー・レイ）とストーン・コールド・スティーブ・オースチンでした
そんな俺がリスペクトするブリー・レイが大仁田厚とハードコアデスマッチを繰り広げました！
※ECWおよびWWE時代のリングネームはババ・レイ・ダッドリー（Bubba Ray Dudley）での活動で知られる。TNAを主戦場にブラザー・レイ（Brother Ray）やブリー・レイ（Bully Ray）のリングネームで活動。
ブリーレイ（50歳）もだけど、大仁田厚（64歳）は海外まで乗り込んでハードコアをやるなんて元気過ぎる👍
やっぱり大仁田選手はすげぇ〜な〜ぁ😆ホントのプロレス馬鹿なんですよね‼️
ECWの頃からダッドリー・ボーイズが好きなんですがECWが出来たのも大仁田厚の団体FMWがあったからこそなんですよね！日本でもハードコアデスマッチが当たり前の様になったのもやっぱり大仁田厚の存在が大きいと思います
※ダッドリー・ボーイズ（Dudley Boyz・ダッドリーズ）はかつてアメリカ合衆国のプロレス団体・ECWで活躍していたプロレスラーのユニット。WWE退団後は権利上の問題からチーム3D（Team 3D）に改称し活動していた。
そんな大仁田厚とブリー・レイが対戦したワケです❗️それも大仁田厚はグレート・ニタとなって😁
Onita spewed red mist on Bully's face and began stomping him before ripping at his face. Onita suplexed Ray and began drilling him with strikes. Ray was tossed to the floor. Onita followed and sent him into the railing. They battled on the floor with Onita sending Ray back into the barricades. Onita began looking for something under the ring but Ray kicked him and sent Onita into the barricade. Ray advanced but Onita smashed a plastic chair over Ray's head with the seat exploding off from the force.
They returned to the ring with Onita spewing more mist on Ray's face. Onita grabbed a guitar that had FMW painted on it and went to use it but Bully blocked and smashed it over Onita's head. The crowd chanted "ECW" for that. Bully went for an elbowdrop but Onita tried to roll out of the way. Bully screamed, "F*** you Onita," stopped him and nailed an Abdullah the Butcher style elbow for a two count.
Ray went to the floor for a steel chair but Onita brandished a chair. They battled with the bat being knocked out of Onita's hands. Ray smashed him with the chair and used the barbed wire bat on Onita's nether-regions. Onita gained control of the bat and nailed Bully with it, then ripped the barbed wire bat across Bully's forehead. Onita went to return to the ring but as he did, Bully slid a ladder into the ring. Onita used the bat. Billy fired away with chops and knocked Onita onto the ladder. Ray smashed him with a sign wrapped in barbed wire. He went for a splash on the ladder, but Onita rolled out of the way.
Onita did the Terry Funk ladder airplane spin on Ray. Ray regained control and worked him over in the corner. He led the crowd in a "Table" chant and teased sending Onita into the barbed wire wrapped table in the corner but Onita again spewed mist in his face. Onita nailed a DDT for a two count. Onita went for a slam but instead DDT'd Ray on the ladder. Onita covered him for a two count with Ray getting the shoulder up.
Ray hit a thrust kick to stop an Onita advance and placed the barbed wire table in the ring. Bully teased a powerbomb through the table but FMW Super Leather hit the ring and attacked Bully. "Enter Sandman" began playing and Sandman came out and caned Onita and Leather. Leather attacked Sandman and raked his eyes. Ray speared Leather, then drilled Onita.
The lights went out and when they returned, it was Sabu. He teased shaking Onita's head but instead spiked Onita. Ray misted Onita and powerbombed him through the table and pinned him.

ブリー・レイからも大仁田へのリスペクトが感じられるし…プロレス愛を感じる一戦ですよね
