インドの伝統舞踊・カタカリダンス

夜はインドの古典芸能、カタカリダンスを見たよ。これは全員（楽器を弾く人も含めて）男の人がやるダンス芸能。何らかの成分を石にこすりつけて出る緑色や肌色などの色を顔に塗って、女装して激しく体を動かしながら踊る。ストーリーには必ず人間の心を表わす表情（喜び、怒り、哀しみ、楽しみ、勇気、驚き・とまどい等）がたっぷり織り込まれてるのだ。

At night we watched the traditional South Indian dance --- the Katakari dance. Men paint their faces with special makeup which they conveniently make by rubbing some kind of special material to a rock, and where fake long black hair covered by the Indian wardrobe.
