List building is one of the most important things that you can do online, if you are looking to monetizing long term your current visitor base. However, my research shows that although there is a proliferation of list building information online, and although many people claim to want to build a list, very few do, and many people claim the reason they do not build a list is because they don't know the steps to take.
So after reading this, you will no longer have any excuses. You will know exactly the steps to take to build your list. Now the ball will be in your court, and only you are responsible. No longer can you say, but I don't know what to do.
1) You must have your own web site. The reason for this is so that you can have complete control over your list. Do not use list builders or anything like that.
2) You must have an autoresponder. Do not buy the software and do it yourself; in today's email environment it is imperative that you use of the big autoresponder service companies because they have the ability that you do not have to keep your email deliverability high.
3) You must put an opt in form on every page of your web site. You can get the code to put it on your web site from your autoresponder company.
4) You must create a squeeze page to send traffic to; put your opt in code on this page.
5) You must send traffic to your squeeze page and your web site.
Now you know the basic steps of building a list.
