Finally I got IK Multmedia iRig Mic HD!

I was looking for a handheld condenser mic or a mic available for iPad/iPhone recoding cuz my vocal booth is in the car xD where it's hard to set a mic stand and it was tiresome to bring my laptop PC, interface or cables every time I needed to record vocal especially when I just wanted to record one or two short phrases.

Thanks to the mic, it makes me much easier to record - just plug the mic into iPad/iPhone. Done!

As for the sound quality, I haven't tried many high-end/expensive mics or pre-amps. But I find the mic sounds good :) It could possibly get better sound if you choose a great cost-performance mic and pre-amp separately but, as I said, I wanted to get rid of the trouble the most when setting it up in the car. Plus, I tend to think, after all, the 90% of great vocal recordings depend on recording techniques, recording environment or vocalist's skills in particular. I will never say I'm a good vocalist but how much you concentrate on singing, you sing soulfully, you practiced well before recording or how much you are relaxed in a recording make a HUGE difference IMO.

What's more, I had some noise troubles(touch-noise, hiss noise) with the previous mic but this Rig Mic HD is incredibly noiseless! It owes to the mic's quality or recording through iPad/iPhone which has no cooling fans unlike PC, I guess.

Conclusion : recording engineers seek for the best sound by no means but it's a great benefit for those who record own materials; it enables you record anywhere/anytime you feel like! Super noiseless recording is a bonus. :) the only downside is that you can't connect the mic with other hardware preamps or interfaces so far. It'd be more handy it had a XLR adapter or IK developed an external preamp for iRig Mic HD in the case I want a higher or a different colored sound down the road.

Anyway, definitely it will be the main mic for me. :)
