IK Multimedia SampleTank 3 を使ってYouTube で偶然見つけた名曲をカバーしてみました♪

ピアノ、チェロ、タンバリンはSampleTank 3、オルガンはSonik Synth 2、ギターはAmplitube Fender、リバーブはCSR Hallを使用しました。特にSampleTank 3のピアノの低音の出方が気に入ってます♪ ^^
今回は使ってないけど、ベースなんかも容量はそんなに大きくないけどアーティキュレーション機能がアップして十分実用的な音だと思いましたし、ディストーションの効いたレスポールなんかもシンプルなパワーコードを手持ちのギターとレイヤーさせて使ったら面白いかも？と思いました。
この曲はYoutube観ていて偶然見つけました。ピアノやギターがColdPlayを思わせる感じが好きになり勢い余ってカバーすることに、笑。
今回ボーカル、ギターは比較的簡単だったんだけど、(多少ボーカルは音外れてるとこもあるけど、細かいことは気にするな、笑)
他のMIDIパートの打ち込みが大変でした。ピアノもキーボードもベースもドラムもほとんど弾いたことないし...
MIDIパートはマウス使わずにMIDIキーボードで、クオンタイズも使いませんでした。結果的はおおむね満足する一方でドラムフィルとかはもう少しタイミング修正が必要だったかも。^^;;
それにしても2、3楽器が増えるだけでこんなにミックスが難しくなるとは思いもしなかったです。かなり周到に全トラックにハイパス/ローパス フィルターやオートメーションを施しても、マスキングしてる箇所が幾つか残りました。誰か解決法知ってたら教えてほしいです。
ギターはマイルドな歪みをもう少し加えたかったけど、歪みをさらに足すと音が痩せ過ぎてあまり聴いてて気持ちいい感じがしなかったのでこれ以上深追いはしませんでした。これもオリジナルみたいなギタートーン出せる人いたら教えてほしい。^^;;
I came across this song by a random watching YouTube. Perhaps it's not so much popular but I like the ColdPlay-like guitar and piano sounds so I covered it.
Recoding vocal and guitar was relatively easy this time(yup, some vocal parts are out of tune, tho! xD) but Programming the piano, organ, drum, bass was tough for me.
I'm not a pianist, keyboardist, drummer or bassist after all! xD
Feel free to point me out if those MIDI parts are weird.
I played all instruments manually( by manually, I mean I played the parts with a MIDI keyboard, not a mouth) and didn't use quantize at all. Partly I'm happy with the result but there might need some timing edit especially on the drums fills.
Also, I never thought adding just one or two instruments made it much more difficult to mix. I suppose some masking areas are remain although I carefully applied high/low-pass filter on all tracks and a looooooots of Automations. If anyone who resolve it, please tell me.
I wanted to make the guitar more distorted but made it sound harsh and thin so I didn't go after too much.
The piano, cello and Tambourin are from the brand new IK SampleTank 3. Especially I like the low end of the piano. :)
