Super Junior Wins Global Singing Group Award at China’s ‘Huading Awards’

Super Junior won an award from a prestigious award ceremony in China.

Super Junior received the Global Singing Group Award from the 15th Huading Celebrity Awards that took place on January 18 at the Venetian Hotel in Macau.

Huading Awards, hosted by China’s national administrative agency State Council, launched in 2007 to give out awards to those in various fields such as music, film, drama and more. Huading Celebrity Awards is a part of the award ceremony that gives out awards to global celebrities.

The winners were selected based on the online voting gathered from about 800 million netizens through some of the major media outlets in China, and the ceremony was attended by Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk, as well as the other global stars, such as Chris Hemsworth, Naomi Watts, Donnie Yen, Wang Leehom, Charmaine Sheh, Lam Fung, and more.

Attending the event as representatives of Super Junior, Donghae and Eunhyuk said upon receiving the trophy, “We feel honored to attend such an awesome award ceremony and receive this big award. We will share this happiness with the Super Junior members. We thank all the fans for showing their love, and we will become Super Junior who can show our improved selves in 2015.

They performed some of their hit songs, Oppa, Oppa, Motorcycle, and Oh No during the celebratory stage, getting loud cheers from the crowds.

During the red carpet event that took place prior to the award ceremony, Donghae and Eunhyuk received camera flashes from over 100 Chinese news outlets, proving their popularity in the country.

Meanwhile, Super Junior has successfully been carrying out its Supershow 6 in major cities around the world, such as Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Taiwan, Fukuoka, Bangkok, and more.
