皇居観光 皇居外苑の続き・・
土曜日は疲れて、皇居外苑のみで終わってしまったので。
This is continued from the blog of Imperial Palace Outer Garden.
I was too tired on that day to continue writing.
皇居東御苑に入るには、まずセキュリティチェック。東御苑は皇居内、外苑は皇居の外なんですね。（知らなかった）
To enter into the Imperial Palace East Garden, there is a security check. East Garden is inside the Imperial Palace and outer garden is outside (didn't know the difference).
今回は無料ガイドツアーに参加しました。
I joined the guide tour this time.
江戸時代の江戸城は、この東御苑がメイン（本丸）
In the EDO period, the main castle was on this east side.
本丸は文久の火事で燃えてしまっていて、天皇陛下は西側に住むことになったこともあり、昭和43年公園として東側を開放。今ある緑は基本的にそのときに植えたそう。
The main castle was burnt in 1863 and so Emperor decided to live on west side. In 1968, the east side was open to be a park. All the trees were planted at that time.
門を入って進むとまずは同心番所。（人が多くて写真を撮り損ねた）
First Doshin Bansho Guardhouse.（Couldn't take picture, because there were too many people)
続いて百人番所。
Next, Hyakunin Bansho Guardhouse.
ここから西は西の丸。坂を上っていくと、二の丸、本丸。
西の丸は基本的に引退した将軍、二の丸には後継ぎが暮らすところだそう。
本丸は、明暦の大火や文久の家事で焼失。文久の火事の後は再建も断念し、いわゆる「江戸城明け渡し」は西の丸で行われていたとのこと（知らなかった）。
西に明示宮殿を作ったものの、空襲で焼失。今の住居である吹上御所は明暦の大火の後、本丸の周辺を防火のために空けておいた、その場所に建てられているそう。
百人番所の前に置いてあるこの石は１３トン。江戸城で最も重い石は４３トンだとか。
The stone in front of Hyakunin Bansho Guardhouse weighs 13 ton. The heaviest stone in this Edo castle is 43 ton.
坂を上ると大番所。
Next, Obansho Guard House.
さらに上ると、果樹古品種園
Walking up, we reached orchard full of fruit trees of old variety.
その先には富士見櫓。江戸時代から残る三層の櫓はここのみ。（現在は富士山は見えず）
Fujimi-yagura.This is the only three-storey turret remaining from the Edo period. (Mt Fuji cannot be seen now).
本丸に向かうと、立派なくすのき。しかし、これらも樹齢は100年ほど。あくまで植えられたのは昭和４３年。目隠しのために植えたものの、超高層ビルが建つのは当時は想定外だったようですね。
そして松の廊下はこのあたりに。
このあたりには茶の木も。

桜は皇居内だけで４５種類。
You can find 45 types of cherry blossom trees in Imperial Parace.
本丸御殿跡地は空き地になっていて、現在は大嘗祭（即位礼）の時などに使用。
The place of Honmaru is open now and is currently used for ceremonies such as the
Daijosai (enthronement ceremony).
こちらで一旦ツアーは終了。その後二の丸エリアへ。
