The Newspaper Asahi (Asahi Shinbun) recently confessed that the accounts regarding comfort women, where it said that they were victims of compulsory mobilization by the Army, were canards or misinformation based on the story of Seiji Yoshida, who wrote that he kidnapped Korean women in Cheju Island as a solder of the Japanese Army. But Yoshida said later that his account was a lie. The Newspaper Nichi-nichi (currently Mainichi Shinbun), which reported the story of "Contest to kill 100 people using a sword" during the war, recently confessed that it does not have any legal responsibility to inform the readers of the reality.mo
