Orange-Colored Fortune

Good morning, my readers.

We have such a cold morning, don't we?

As it’s been drizzling for some time now, I shall call today another horrible and dismal day.

(Sorry, if I sound a bit pessimistic!)

When can we have a beautiful blue autumn sky for you and me, and especially for my exquisite butterflies? I really wonder.

(The news says that another typhoon is to hit Tokyo this coming Saturday..oh, no!)

By the way, what time did you get up this morning?

I got up at 7 sharp, and since then, I’ve been working very hard to finish some reports on the classes I taught at big electronics companies.

Because yesterday around 5 my agent called and said to me that such an easy report should be ready as soon as possible.

(They always want me to work hard. They don’t like me to relax and rest! An evil agency…).

In any case, my room is freezing cold now.

If I keep sitting as if I were a stone, my legs and fingers will begin to feel cold and numb, and I will eventually and certainly turn into an icy statue.

Simultaneously, the blood circulation in my body extremely slows down, and I may start to suffer from frostbite soon (sorry for my predisposition towards exaggeration…!)

However, as the mother of 30 caterpillars, I should not allow myself to remain passive.

So, a while ago, forcing myself to be more active, I went out to greet my garden.

Hoping to get some fresh food for my babies, I carefully looked for the tangerine tree that has newly sprouted soft green leaves.

Oh, look!

Observing them closely, I made a small cry of joy! because four small butterfly eggs were attached to the leaves despite this cold weather...

Unfortunately, however, one of the eggs was empty so I imagined that he/she died because of this harsh weather.

How sad it was...
In fact, my garden has become so colorless.

Big and small leaves have fallen upon the ground.

Only a few roses were blooming in the cold wind..desolately.

Yet, when I looked up at my persimmon trees, I could see something big and orange hanging from a branch!

“Oh, my favorite persimmon!”

Without knowing, I shouted.

“It’s so nice to see you again! (Sorry, such a mundane expression!)

There were seven orange guys, who tasted so delicious if you kiss them or even bite them!

(Please don’t worry. They don’t mind to be kissed or bitten. To be honest, some guys like to be bitten and kissed gently?)

You see, seven big orange persimmons had been there all the time, just behind some of the leaves.

When the leaves fell off the branches, those persimmon fruits emerged from behind the scene.

How lucky!

As you know, I am not a greedy person, so I decided to get the biggest one before the wild birdies had stolen it.

Even though it is a dark and ominous morning, it seems that not everything was going against me.

At least, 6 persimmons are still there to be eaten only by me!

Maybe, today may not be such a bad day.

Yes, if I finish my report shortly, some other good fortune might come and stay with me forever!.

How nice that would be!

Okay, my readers. I will go back to my report and finish it...with a big orange-colored fortune in my hand (and my heart)!

A flying crow always catches something...yes, yes, yes....
