- The Rinei Kashihara Kai's 20th anniversary c
  The second stage of anniversary celebration, the party, started at The Syoshin Kaikan, facilities for the retired people.Tamiyo arranged flowers well. She is a flower arrangement teacher.She was preparing for a special event.The lady on the right side in the picture is Hiroko. She collapsed from a subarachnoid hemorrhage two years ago, but after strenuous rehabilitation, she was able to walk and speak again.She hoped to entertain our members with tea ceremony at this party . She is a tea ceremony teacher.Mr.Nakagawa was MC for the party this year. He acted for the first time, but very well as the MC.The gentleman on the right side in the picture is Mr.Ito. He is a vice president and representative director of Panasonic Cycle Technology Co.,Ltd.The other gentleman on the left side is Mr.Kinjyo. He is a member of the board directors.Mr.Ito reported P,C,T's latest news. The company improved its business performance through selling electric assist bicycles.The president, Mr.Kondo delivered an opening address.There was a powerful earthquake in the Izumo area where he lives early in the morning.His house shook violently in the earthquake, but it didn't collapse.He dropped everything and rushed to the party. I worried about he should recover the damage after that.I hope he take it easy, and take care of himself.Mr.Nishikawa proposed a toast. He had too many messages to tell members . So he distributed a handout to each person."Cheers!" "Toast !"That day's special event was a tea ceremony which Hiroko planned.These ladies came to the party early in the morning that day,because of treating to a tea ceremony as a volunteer. They are Hiroko's students. I was very happy. The tea was very nice. I would like to have a tea ceremony again next year.Thank you very much.All members enjoyed the tea ceremony and had a good time. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.Let me introduce our members.This was table E, from the left side; Yumiko, Tamiyo and Yoko.This was table D, from the left side; Mr.Nagata, Mr.Mimura, Mr.Kogure, Mr.Aoshima and Mr.Henmi.This was table F, from the left side; Mr.Kubota, Mr.Morita, Mr.Yoshida and Mr.Yasui.This was table B, from the left side; Mr.Suzuki, Mr.Ozaki, Mr.Hama and Mr.Fukuda,The gentleman on the left side in the picture is Mr.Battery, namely Mr.Tanaka, and the other gentleman on the right side is Mr.Tigers, namely Mr.Ozaki. He has been crazy about the Hanshin Tigers for a long time, So he isn't always in good health.This year two new people joined our association. The lady in the picture is Ms.Yamashita.The other person is the gentleman in the picture, Mr.Henmi.Mr.Hattori delivered closing remarks and closed the party with a hand-clapping ceremony.The organizer, Mr.Yoshida, reported the progress of this party and the next year's schedule.The panels showed our group's previous achievements for twenty years.Original wines were made in commemoration of its twentieth anniversary.The label was specially designed by Mr.Morita. It's very nice.The limited wines were sold out on that day.Do you know him?   The Rinei Kashihara Kai is an association for the retirees from Panasonic Corporation Bicycle Department.At the same time this year marked Panasonic Corporation's 100th anniversary, so it is memorable for us.The celebration was planned by organizers.The first stage was a study tour of the Panasonic Museum, and the second stage was the party with a special program.The Panasonic Museum has two different museums and one is Konosuke Matsushita Museum and the other is Hall of Manufacturing Ingenuity.Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of Panasonic who constantly stove for A Better Life, A Better World.The Panasonic Museum aimes to pass on that lofty goal, and the products, technologies and passion of it's predecessors; the museum was established for everyone, to pass on the "heart" of Panasonic to future generations.Konosuke Matsushita welcomed us at the front entrance of the Museum.I came to the head office area for the first time in fifteen years after retired from Panasonic.Two ladies welcomed us with nice smiles at the front desk of the Museum."hello"These ladies are the former colleagues.From the left; Yumiko, Yoko, Tamiyo," How are you doing?" " Long time no see.""I'm good! and how are you?"Konosuke Mastushita was born in Wakayama in 1894. His parents were farmers.He started to work in the store owner's house as an apprentice at the age of 9.He launched a new business with original sockets in 1918.A radio in 1931an Electric Kotatsu Heater in 1929, an Electric Heater in 1928, and a Super Iron in 1927.The first workshop was his home in Obiraki Fukusima Ward Osaka City.In the biginning, he started his business with his wife, Mumeno and her brother, Toshio Iue.Toshio Iue supported Konosuke for thirty years and founded Sanyo Electric Corporation after the Second World War.a vacuum cleaner in 1958a rice cooker in 1959a dry batteryThe 1970 Osaka World Expo was held in Osaka Senri.The founder cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. I joined Panasonic Corporation the next year.This was the original socket. This new socket has made it possible for people to use a light and the other electrical fitting.a washing machine in 1951The founder was surrounded bya lot of home appliances.a state-of-the-art color televisionThis is a shell mold head light.This light was sold in the bicycle industry and improved its business performance.This is the first Electric Bicycle by Panasonic in Japan in 1980.If we had promoted the project of Electric Bicycle as hard as possible, our lives would have changed, but it is just an assumption.The boy is called "National Boya".He was a popular character of National Brand and he had such an amiable personality that everyone loves him.These days he comes back at the Panasonic affiliated stores.Continued on the next post.Thank you for readingSee you next timeKazu.

- I went to see cherry blossoms on 29th March.
  When it becomes cherry blossom season, my heart bounces every year.Last year I saw cherry blossoms here and there in Vancouver.This year cherry blossoms came out earlier than usual, so I went to see them nearby Tamakushi River.This river is selected for Osaka's one hundred most beautiful cherry blossoms, and many people come to see them from all over neighboring area every year.I found three wild ducks in the river for the first time. I was very happy to see them. If it were twenty years ago, I couldn't believe that wild ducks live in the river.There are rows of cherry trees on both banks of the Tamakushi River.Neighboring residents planted one thousand cherry trees, Someiyoshino, in the 1960's. It continues 5 kilometers.The cherry blossoms were in full bloom then.This park was built up by the donation of charitable person.I appreciate her. We can have a nice time at this park.Many people enjoyed cherry blossoms.I took a walk along an avenue lined with cherry trees.There were cherry trees on both sides of the street.The cherry tree arched over the river and the cherry blossom petals were falling down on the surface of the river.I found wild ducks were floating on the river for the first time.There were three ducks and they were looking for feed.I think they should go to Siberia soon and have nutritious feed.I thank God that I could enjoy cherry blossoms healthily in Japan this year.These cherry blossoms have the subtle gradations of color from red to pink.After cherry-blossom viewing picnic, would you have a cherry blossom viewing party at the near restaurant?This is a Japanese restaurant, Morita, near Kintestu Yamamoto Station.The chef trained in cooking in other Japanese restaurants for a long time and he is a skilled cook.I recommend this restaurant's lunch which is on an appointment system only.Thank you for reading.See you next time.Kazu.

- I had the 14th welcome dinner meeting on 8th Mar
  I had five different English lessons in Japan before learning English abroad.Yao English School has a British teacher, Aaron Cooney.He is from Britain and I learned to speak English from him.My classmates invited me for dinner after their lesson.Unfortunately Aaron had the next another lesson that day, so he couldn't join us for dinner. We went to a Japanese style bar and we had a long chat for the first time in one year.I was very happy to have a good time with them.The lady on the left side in the picture is Yumiko.The other lady on the right side is Yoko.Both are very eager to study all the time and good at speaking English.The gentleman on the left side in the picture is Makoto.He is not only good at speaking English, but also he is learned and versatile.Thank you for readingSee you next timeKazu.
- I went to a koto regular concert on 4th March.
  I got to know Su-chan through my blog before I left from Japan more than one year ago.Since then she has been reading my blog all the time,but we have never met each other.We met for the first time by pure chance at a computer class on 19th February.I felt like she was an old friend and it was not for the first time.She invited me a koto, a zither like Japanese musical instrument, regular concert where she would play it with her instructor and other classmates.She has taken lessons on the koto for a long time.The first lady from the left in the back row is my blog friend, Su-chan.They played Japanese song the " Sakura, cherry blossoms" with a chorus.The lady in the middle wearing a different dress is their instructor.She taught enthusiastically and sometimes stopped to play the koto, though their performance and she gave them detailed instructions.They played a song "Fuji" with the shamisen, a three-stringed Japanese instrument.I like both a koto and a shamisen. They are Japanese musical instruments and relax me.Many people enjoyed the concert that day.I thought all of them have practiced repeatedly, so they felt a sense of achievement. I had a nice time.   038Our instructorplayed withother instructors the "Don't anybody sleep!"She was the leftmost lady.The music is a very famous opera "Turandot"'s aria which is composed by Giacomo Puccini.002Yuko played as strings ensemble. The music is "Love is blue". She is in the front row, the fourth from the left.Sheis on the staff of Miki Music Salon. - I went to a Condare Concerto on 25th February No
  I had taken violin lessons until I left Japan one year ago, but I couldn't take a violin to Vancouver because of a home stay rules.I prefer learning English to practicing the violin, because I can go abroad to learn English for the time being.In the near future I'm going to take violin lessons again.I really like the violin.Miki Music Salon held an annual Condare Concerto at Daimaru Shinsaibashi Theater on 25th FebruaryOur instructor and classmates played. They played superbly performed magnificently.I felt a sense of remorse for stopping violin lessons one year ago, but I think if I run after two hares, I will catch neither.The lady in the center in the middle row is our instructor, Asami.She usually gives a clear lesson to me, but if I can't play the violin well she sometime requests my more practice.Asami played with other instructors the "Don't anybody sleep!"My classmates, Katsumi, Kasumi, Kumiko and Hiromi played the "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik".I was deeply impressed by the moving performance. I felt their performance was at a professional level.I thought they have had hard special practice for this concerto.Nahoko and Kazuko played the "Hanamizuki".This is my favorite song and I wish to play it by myself, but it is very difficult for me. They played perfectly in every detail.I was truly moved to tears by their performance.I'm sorry that I couldn't be in time for the performance of Yoshida, Katsukura and Komatsu.I will up lord our instructor's performance next time.Thank you for reading and listeningSee you next timeKazu.

- I had the third welcome lunch on 23rd February.
  My high school senior, Kawabata, invited me to the lunch of Friday English conversation class.I learned English in this class from 2011 until 2016.I have learned a lot from my teacher, Mihoko.She has been in Seattle in the United States for several years and has learned English. - I had a welcome coffee party on 22nd February.
  My teacher and classmates of an amateur club in English conversation welcomed me home after a long time.We had a coffee party at a cafe, Hana, near Tokusyukai Hospital in Aoyamacho.First my teacher said to me, "Today everyone has questions which he or she ask you, so you had better answer as many as questions as you can in English."I was very happy that everyone has a great interest in my study abroad.Many people asked me questions. The toughest question is if I got a girl friend in Vancouver. I said " I'm sorry , I couldn't make a girl friend, but I made many friends from different countries.　I 'm very happy."Before taking a picture, they are my teacher and classmates.This was the first shot.This was the second shot. It’s my pleasure to see you all again in Japan.Thank you for having me for this wonderful coffee party.Have you ever been to Canada or Vancouver?Oh yes, many people have been there.As you know, in Canada, there are a lot of places to visit. For example, more than a few million people visit Victoria, Vancouver,Toronto, Montreal, Canadian Rocky Mountains and Niagara Falls.So today I am going to talk about my life in Vancouver which was full of joy new discovery, and of course, a lot of study.I arrived at Vancouver on 25thNovember before last.At first I had tough time in theexceptionally cold weather in Vancouver.Your kind e-mails from Japan cheered me up, but not enough,The first few weeks in Vancouver, it was colder than I expected, and it was raining almost every day and it was snowing sometimes.It was very difficult for me to make friends at school because our school allows students to speak only in English and I was not confident enough to talk to other students with my English.I felt lonely at school in the beginning.Nobody took a seat next to me in my class.I wanted to make friends, but I didn’t know how. I remembered that my Japanese agent's counselor said to me not to stay more than three months.I felt deeply depressed.I met a Japanese counselor, “Kaori”, in our school.She gave me some advices and they changed my way of thinking and cheered me up.She told me that every student is worried about the same problems at school.“You are not the only one who is worried about it.” After that, I started to try to speak to other students every week in my class.I said, “Please calls me Kazu.” in my school throughout my stay in Vancouver.I made my business card and gave them to my classmates. I also asked their e-mail address and sent to them mails.Because of these efforts, I made many friends from different countries and they made my days in Vancouver special and precious.I am grateful for my great time for them from the bottom of my heart.At the same time, I studied hard at school to improve English skills.I am happy to tell you that I got a high TOEIC score, which exceeded my original goal.I am very happy with this result, but I am still not confident with in speaking English yet.So I’m planning to go to other country to learn English again this year.Before leaving Japan, I have to go to the dentist and the ophthalmologist for checking up.As you know in our age, we are getting old and many parts of our body don't work as well as they did when we were young.I got a lot of precious experiences and memories in the past one year in Vancouver.To conclude, I would like to say this out loud, don’t be shy and keep trying because,I believe, life is very short, but it has unlimited potential.I think studying abroad is one of good challenges for us to try.If you go studying abroad I’m sure you can get your Dvorak!!Do you know Dvorak?Thank you very much for your attention.Thank you for reading.See you next time.Kazu.

  My teacher and classmates of Tuesday English conversation class welcomed me home after one year and two months.We had a lunch at a Japanese restaurant, Yoshino, near Kintetsu Yao station.I was very happy to receive a warm hearty welcome in spite of my absent for more than one year.They asked me if I learmed to speak English fluently.I said I was not confident enough to speak English yet, so I was planning to go to the Philippines this year.I had a nice time with my old friends and the teacher, Hiroko,The teacher, Hiroko. pressed me to make a decision to go study abroad one year ago.She has been in the United States for a long time and she can speak English like a Native American. I was eager to speak English well. So I went to Vancouver in Canada to learn English.The second lady from the right in the back row is my teacher, Hiroko.I admire her for her English skills.I wish to speak English fluently like her sometime.The first gentleman from the right in the back is Yoshiyuki and the first lady from the left in the front row making a V-sigh is Ayako. She is very active.The lady on the left side is Ms.Matsushita and other lady on the right side is Ms.Kawabata.Both are new students after I left class.The lady on the left side in the picture is Yumiko and the other lady on the right side is Yoshiko.Both looked happy with the delisious food.The guy on the left side in the picture is Hideo and the lady on the right side is Miyuki. Both greeted me by saying "Hello".This was sliced raw fish.This was vinegared food, crab, octopus and trough shell.This was grilled dish, crab, eel, a prawn and a turban shell meat cooked in its own shell.This was a chawan-mushi, cup-steamed egg custard mixed with foods like shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, vegetables, and so on.Thank you for readingSee you next time.Kazu.

- I came back to Japan on 28th January.
  I had been in Vancouver for about a year and two months.I'm looking forward to seeing my friends.We are both in the same English class and violin class.Also it's my pleasure to see my grandson for the first time since he was born.I had many presents for them and I was excited about seeing them.When I arrived at Haneda International Airport, my son came to meet me there.I stayed at his apartment for the night.The next day It was sunny and nice weather.Son's apartment is on the 33rd floor and it has a fine view.Fortunately I could see the Fuji Mountain.It reminded me this is in Japan.The toddler in the picture is my grandson, Soichi. He was one year and eight months.He was very friendly and showed me his many model trains.He likes model trains like his father.He can't speak a little yet, but He has much amazingly.I hope he wouldgrow up quickly and healthily in this town.The guy on the left side is my son. He grew taller than me without my noticing.The lady on the right side is a daughter-in-law. She is good at cooking and I had delicious breakfast. - I left Vancouver on 27th January.
  I came to Vancouver a year and two months ago.Then I was filled with hopes and fears.After that I got a lot of precious experiences and memories in Vancouver.At the same time I studied hard to improve my English skills than before.I was most pleased that I made many friends from different countries.I would like to keep in touch with them from now on.Keiko is one of my important friends.She came to my house to see me off in that morning.She was carring my suitcase in her hand to Vancouver International Airport with me.She was very helpful to bring my suitcase.Thank you Keiko.Keiko was helping me to leave Vancouver for three days straight.I reserved a business class seat. I spent a relaxing time in an airplane for a long time.Let me introduce in-flight meals to you.First, these were amuse: roast almonds, cheese surrounded with prune, smoked salmon canapes.appetizer (the front row): kombu with roe, anglerfish's liver, roast duck with miso, yuba,vinegared food(the left side in the back row) : vinegared gelee garland chrysanthemum and crab.sliced raw fish(the right side in the bach row): sliced raw tuna, sliced raw young yellowtail.This was the main dish (the back row): hotpot dish featuring thinly sliced pork with vegetables with sauce made from soy sauce and citrus juice and grated daikon.a bowl of rice, a bowl of wakame miso soup, picklesdessert : raspberry pudding ( I forgot to take pictures because of the deliciousness.) fruits.the second light meal ( We can have it whenever we like)the Main dish : a beef and vegetable curry , the basmati rice smells comin.bread butter and jam, fruit yogurt.After a meal I enjoyed entertainments in flight service.They had many programs in-flight movies and I chose two movies.Especially the movie "the third murder" was very good.The director is Hirokazu Koreeda who I like.Two actors, Kouji Yakusyo and Masaharu Fukuyama were both good.I recommend you see the movie if you have time.Thank you for readingSee you next timeKazu.

- My English teacher, Karintou, had the last farew
  She has planned a farewell lunch for me before, but I had some other plans late January.So we decided to have it on 26th January. It was my last day in Vancouver.She invited some friends of mine, but some had to work, and others had to go to school.So four people came to my farewell lunch even in the busy schedule.I deeply appreciate them for coming to see me.The restaurant is a Chinese tea break with a snack restaurant, "Kirin", at Richmond which Karintou recommends as a good restraurant.I'm sure it 's a authentic Chinese restaurant.There were many unique foods which I have never had, so I can't explain them in detail. Everything was very delicious.Many certificates of commendation were posted at the entrance of the restaurant, Kirin.They received many best restaurant awards.The second lady from the left is my English teacher, Karintou, She planned this farewell lunch.I got a lot of precious experiences and memories in the past one year in Vancouver. So I would like to say that it was a miracle that I happened to meet her.If I had never met her, my life in Vancouver would have been different from now.I thank Karintou and the blog post. We met each other through my blog post.The lady farthest to the left is Keiko(from Tokyo). The second lady from the right is Misato(from Kanagawa), and the lady farthest to the right is Misato's aunt, Akiko(from Kanagawa).We had many unforgettable experiences with us.Words can't express how happy I am.Thank you Karintou, Keiko, Misato and Akiko.These were like slices of pie.These were ,chimakis,steamed rice cakes wrapped in bamboo leaves.These were shaomai,Chinese steamed meat dumplingsThis was saute.These were shouronpos.This tasted sweet like pumpkin.This tasted like Korean Chijimi.These were big gyozas, Chinese dumplings.These were spring rolls.These had a unique taste and Karintou's favorite.It was a bread-based cake.This was the last food. It tasted sweet like dessert.Lastly Karintou gave me a cap. It is a present from Kalun(Karintou's husband).She told me that he said to me it was a souvenir and I should remember our past good days in Vancouver always having the cap on.The cap is made by Roots which is the most popular brand in Canada and an official sporting goods supplier of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.Thank you Kalun.That is my precious memory.Thank you for readingSee you next timeKazu.

- My friend had a farewell dinner for me on 25th J
  My friend, Keiko(from Tokyo), had a farewell dinner for me on 25th January.The restaurant ,"Cardero's" is a seafood and steak restaurant.It is a stylish restaurant which Keiko found and it faces the Burrard Inlet.It was the last unforgetable dinner for me in Vancouver.She and I were both in the same class for a short time, but we always had a nice time with our friends.I appreciate her friendship.She is going to continue to learn English until this Summer in Vancouver.I hope she could more improve her English skills.I'm looking forward to seeing her again in Japan.The restaurant, Cardero's, faces the Burrard Inlet and it is fashionable.The restaurant was crowded with customers.An airplane was flying over the upper right.Can you find an airplane amd three yachts overhead.The lady in the picture is my friend, Keiko(from Tokyo)She had a hearty appetite.This was potage.This was a salmon steak whicn I ordered.I wanted to taste again the salmon steak in Canada before leaving Vancouver.This was a steak which Keiko ordered.I had a little regrets about choosing the salmon steak because the steak looked more delicious!This was a dessert.I was surprised at the message, "Thank you Kazu !"Keiko has arranged everything for this dessert message in advance.Cool !.Keiko gave me a snow globe as a souvenir of Vancouver.I was feeling happy.Thank you very much.The Burrard Inlet stretches in fron of the restaurant.The opposite shore is North Vancouver.There were seaplanes in the foreground of the picture.The seaplane is very popular in Canada. - My friend had a farewell lunch for me on 21st ja
  My friend, Ayako(from Osaka) had a farewell lunch for me on 21st January.She and I were both in the same class in Able English Studies.First I received a few loaf of bread from her once a week. It were very delicious.She has a fiance in Vancouver and they are going to get married in September.She decided to live permanently in Vancouver.I was envious of her good life, because she can learn English from her fiance all day and night.She is good at English conversation.MY teacher said to me in Japan "If you want to improve your English, you should have a girl friend in Vancouver.", but I failed in the trial.When I left Vancouver she picked up my bookshelf and printer which I couldn't send to Japan. I was very helpful of her to pick up them.I appreciate her and her fiance, Jack..The lady on the left side is Ayako(from Osaka). She looks very happy with her fiance, Jack.The guy on the right side is Jack and he is a kind and dependable man.I'm sure they are a well-matched couple.Somehow, we couldn't stop laughing. - I visited my friends at the Lake Louise from 22n
  I would like to choose a beginner's course, but I mistook an advanced course as a course for biginners.Mayu pointed me in the right direction, but I worried about it would be very tough to go back to the biginner's course.So I decided to go ahead in the advanced course.The course was hard, but it was easier than Whistler's. It was more gentle slope and I enjoyed skiing.That day I didn't need to call an ambulance haha.I mistook my course and I was skiing in an advanced course.I was forced a hard skiing.I worked hard not to fall down.At last I was getting out of a crisis.I felt relieved when I came close to the finishing line.I was very tired out, but I didn't fall down.I recommend the Lake Louise ski resort. It is a nice slope and the quality of snow is good. It is powder snow.Illuminations were very fantastic.The lady on the right side is Ayaka(from Gifu).She likes mountain climbing, so she came to work to the Lake Louise. She can always enjoy it.She didn't have day off. She worked this time but she cooked boiled meat and potatoed with soy sauce and baked a cheesecake for me.The lady in the middle is Mayu(from Aichi) She hung out with me for two days in spite of her busy schedule.Thank you for Mayu and Ayaka.The Next day I came back to Vancouver by the Grayhound bus.We were scheduled to arrive at Vancouver at 9:30p.m.When we arrived at the Pacific Central station. - I visited my friends at the Lake Louise from 22n
  I went to the Lake Louise in the Rocky Mountains tour last October, butI couldn't see my friends, Mayu and Ayaka, who were working at a hotel in the Lake Louise.So I would like to go to the Lake Louise again before I leave Vancouver.You can go to there from Vancouver by the Greyhound bus.The round-trip fare is 260 dollars, and it takes thirteen hours one way.It's a very long way from Vancouver to the Lake Louise.I was looking forward to seeing them and enjoying skiing there.There are a lot of nice view places in the Rocky Mountains.I recommend the Lake Louise. It is full of emerald green water and you can see the Mount Victoria and the Victoria Glacier a head.I'm sure the grandeur and magnificence of the sight take your breath away.The Greyhound bus was scheduled to start at 6:30a.m. from the Pacicic Central Station. It was very early morning and I went to the Pacific Central Station by taxi.In spite of early morning, many people were waiting the bus.Our bus started two hours and thirty minutes behind schedule after all.I think it was the Canadian usual wayOur bus started at about 9:00a.m.The bus was almost full.The bus had wide and comfortable seats.I had to get on the bus for thirteen hours, so it was very important things for me.I could see freight train out of a window.The freight train was always very long, Can you see the train like building block?The train moved along a river and went around a S-shaped curve.The string of freights behind me was too long to count.Many 3000-meter plus mountains run from north to South in Canadian Rocky Mountains.We took a rest at a stop every two or three hours.The bus driver changed at Salmon Arm on its way to Calgary.Our bus was caught a traffic jam because of snow road.Our bus was scheduled to arrive at the Lake Louise at 8:15p.m., but it arrived at 1:00a.m. I was very tired out. My friend, Mayu was waiting me and came to meet me at the bus depot.I slept well the day before in my friend's living room-dining room. It had a nice bed and I found it comfortable.Moreover it's for free, I was very happy to have good friends.My friend, Ayaka cooked boiled meat and potatoes with soy sause for me the night before. I had it for brunch. It was very delicious and I was moved by the tastiness.Ayaka baked a cheesecake too.I really enjoyed the meal. Thank you.This is the Lake Louise Inn which they have worked for about one year.The hotel has five buildings and it has an indoor pool, a lounge and a pizzeria in the building.The lady in this picture is my friend, Mayu(from Aichi). She is very good at snowboarding.I enjoyed skiing with her for the first time in ten months.Everything is ready. Let's go!This ski course looked more gradual than the Whistler, so I felt relieved when I looked at the course. I would rather not call an ambulance that day.We rode a ski lift. This course in the picture is for beginners.I asked her to lead me to a course for beginners, not advanced.The course on the left side is for advanced, and the course on the right side is for biginners. I should choose the right course.I started skiingThese were pictures which Mayu took for me when I was skiing. I had never been taken pictures for a long time because I was always skiing too slowly. So nobody took my picture. The week before Marie took my pcctures. - I went to the Grouse Mountain on 19th January.
  I have had a desire to go to the Grouse Mountain someday.It's height is 1250 meters and it rises to the north of the North Vancouver.You can get on a gondola from the foot to near the top of it.This gondola is very big like a bus. I guess that more than 50 people can get on it at a time.The gondola fare is fifty dollars. If you make a reservation for dinner at the restaurant of the lodge on the top, you can get on it for free.Of course I madethe reservation. At last my wish has come true.In winter many people come to here from downtown after work because of near to the office and they enjoy skiing easily.I think the Grouse Mountain is like the Rokou Mountain in Kansai Area or the Takao Mountain in metropolitan area.It is a popular resort and a place of rest relaxation for local people.I got on a Sea Bus(ferryboat) from Waterfront to Lonsdale Quay for twelve minutes.I enjoyed a million dollar night view from the sea bus>The Canada place gradually grew distant from view,It was snowing at the top of the Grouse Mountain.It was snowing, but many people were enjoying skiing.It was big drops of snow.I looked at the ski lift in the distance.You can go to the top of the mountain by ski lift.I had plenty of time until dinner. I had a coffee break at a cafe.She is my classmate, Satomi(from Okayama).She is a student of the Able English Studies and she is an eager student.I had a short acquaintance with her, but I felt a long acquaintance because of her friendship.They serve nice dinners at this restaurant.This was an appetizer.The main dish was a meat and it was very delicious.This was the dessert.There were few people at the lobby in the lodge.Almost all of people went back home already.We also should go back home before the last gondola leave.This was a brilliant cloister. It was a beautiful decorative illumination.This is a ski lift cabin.We came back to the Canada place at Waterfront from Lonsdale Quay by the sea bus. - I tried to take revenge in Whistler in the year
  I went to skiing to Whistler the year before last.The ski course for beginners was too hard for me. In addition, it was very long, and what is worse, it was cold and windy.I gave up halfway through the goal. So I wished to finish the ski course this year.My friend,Marie, has worked at a hotel in Whistler after graduating from VIC.She likes snowboarding and she enjoyed it on her free time in winter.I won a free round-trip ticket to Whistler as a prize of last Halloween costume contest in VIC. So I decided to go and see her and stay in Whistler.I did a search on the internet, but almost all hotels were sold out and an accomodation fee was more than 500 dollars for one stay.I realized that Whistler is worldwide exclusive mountain resort. I decided to go a day trip to Whistler.I arrived at the Skytrain Metrotown Station in early morning.Ten minute before the first run the ticket gate was not opened yet. I think it was an Canadian style. I was waiting out of doors.Our chartered bus was at Canada place in down town, and other people gathered in front of the bus. It was very cold and a light snow was falling.This ia the Top of Vancouver where in the reastaurant I had dinner with Marie last year.This ia a ticket for a gondola and a ski lift.W e can use it with it in our pocket.The lady is my friend, Marie(from Aichi). She is very good at snowboarding and keep trying competitions without giving out.I was so excited in the gondola that we could start to skiing for the first time in one year.I wished to stand on the highest level of a podium.We won the duet.We were going to the higher mountain on riding another ski lift. Marie was planning to go to more exciting course with me.She looked like smilingHere was the highest point in the ski couese in Whistler.The 2010 Vancouver Olimpic Games was held in this place.This is an Inuksuk(it's a sighpost)which Inuit(they are an indigenous people inCanada) built up.Marie struck a pose.Her original pose showed signs of progress in her snowboarding.I started skiing from the top of Whistler to take my revenge last year.Marie gave me some advice and helped me to choose easier courseAs you can see, the whistler's ski course is really very big and long.It was a very hard course, the same as last year. I got tired in my legs little by little.I sometimes took a rest and skied again.I got extremely tired from skiing, and I couldn't stand firm because I couldn't use the edges of the skis.I was worried that if I continue skiing, I would break my leg because of tiredness. I decided to call an ambulance. I think withdrawal is one of courage.I asked Marie to call am ambulance. and I took a rest for a while.I was completely exhausted from skiing.An ambulance came and I rode on it.I failed perfectly in my trial to take revenge, but I was very satisfied because I thoroughly enjoyed myself in Whistler.Twilight was falling.Decorative illuminations were very beautiful.We were going to have dinner at an Italian restaurant with Marie's friends.This was a menu of the restaurant.They are Marie's friends, co-workers of the hotel, and students from Korea.I had a nice time with my friends in Whistler.This was squid.This was a green salad.This was pizza.This was spaghetti.Thank you very much for your help. I had a good time because of your support, especially in my emergency. - Many classmates graduated from Able English Stud
  After graduated from VIC I entered Able English Studies, a nearby school, on 14th November last year.I hope to learn English more because of getting a TOEIC TEST score of more than 600.I met excellent teachers fortunately at this school.I had lessons for eight weeks from last November to this January.I wished to extend the period for a while, but the expiry date of my study visa was 27th January.This school allows the students to speak Japanese and all students are Japanese, so we can soon make friends with each other.My classmates graduated from our school every week.I was sad that my friends graduated every week.The lady on the left side in the foreground is Ayumi(from Hiroshima). She graduated on 1st December. She was a popular member of our class.She was saying " See you again"The second guy from the left in the foreground is Masato. He graduated on 1st January. All members mimicked Miffy.I heard he made much money by the trade of rare shoes. He was a genius at making money.The lady on the right side in the back row is Mai(from Tokushima). She slipped on the wet street and fell down.She broke her ring finger. She was brought to the hospital by ambulance. It was painful to see her bandaged finger.The lady wearing a white hoody in the front row is Luka(from Tokyo).She graduated 8th December. She is going to enter college in Canada this year. I'm sure she can pass the entrance examination.The lady wearing a white coat in the center of the front raw is our speaking class teacher, Victoria. She is also a student of University of British Columbia.So she quited her job on 21st December.The lady on the right side of the front row is Shizuka(from Osaka). She has a student with an outstanding English skills and I respect her.I would like to learn English after her example.I missed her.The chief teacher, Aki, was writing something on the white board.I think he is good at only speaking English but also painting pictures.His miffy is very cute and funny.What was he writing on the board? Do you understand it?Teacher, Aki, was writing a sigh for me, because of my graduation on 12th January. I had a full lesson for eight weeks at this school. I am filled with gratitude to all staff of Able English Studies.This was a Miffy style. It's a trendy style now. Do you know it?The fifth guy from the left and next to me was our listening class teacher, Syuhei, He was kind and dependable. We had a nice time everyday. I got a high TOEIC listeningscore thanks to him. Thank you very much.I received my certificate of attendance.I asked Aki to build Able English Studies in Japan as soon as possible.
