I'm finally back at home!
Long story put short: I had to go back to the hospital for an emergency surgery. But now everything is okay and I'm back on my loved couch.
Right now I'm just happy to be out of this damn hospital.
You know the typical scent of hospitals? If I have to smell it anytime soon I think I'll go insane.
And don't forget the over-ambitious nurse Sarah! "How are you feeling, Ms?" "Do you need something for the pain?" "Do you need something?" "Can I do anything for you?" "You are not allowed to drink coffee but I could get you a tea." My answers? "How do you think I feel after two surgeries in two weeks on both of my knees? FANTASTIC!" "No, don't worry. I don't feel any pain. That's actually my happy face." "Yes, my crutches!" "Yes, stop showing up every ten minutes and ask me stupid questions!" "Do I seriously look like I want to drink tea?"
And to top my wonderful holiday there: my mother refused to bring me my laptop so I wouldn't do any work and relax. Did you ever try to relax in a place like this? The only thing she brought me was my Kindle. Usually a good thing, if I hadn't just cleaned the damned thing so that I had just one book saved on it. The one I already read the week before.
Well, at least my sister brought me some pencils and paper so I could doodle a bit much to the chagrin of the nasty old lady occupying the bed next to me. Did you know that eight in the evening is the time to shut off the lights? I didn't until this woman told me.
Okay, I'm officially ranting. But please give me some credit. It was like holidays in hell.
You want to know what I did first when I got back home? Most would go to change their clothes or take a shower or stuff like that. Me? I hobbled straight into my kitchen and got my first coffee in over a week!
So, now you had a small insight into my last week and this wonderful adventure called hospital.
Aa, for the ones interested in what I doodled.
