Welcome to my blog!

 

My name is Michelle and I will start writing on this blog to talk about myself and my life in Japan. Over the next year I will begin my first full time job as an assistant language teacher in the beautiful city of Hachinohe in Aomori Prefecture. is so much adventure that awaits me and I want to create a place where I can reflect and look back on. 

 

"Mishi no memo" or Mishi's Notes, is a name I came up with that can simply be explained as:

 

Mishi : Short for Michelle & a Spanish word for Cat Cat

 

no : In Japanese grammar, it is a particle indicating possession...these are my notes and reflections and should not be taken as expert advice or opinion (as authoritative and reliable as my writing may suggest)

 

Memo : Japanese word for note and begins with the letter M (onomatopoeia - onomatopoeia!) memo

 

 

In order to motivate myself to learn Japanese better, but at the same time grow confidence as a blogger and be able to share my reflections with family/ loved ones, I will make different sections of the blog English and Japanese.
