最近天気がぐずついています／The weather has been wet lately
皆さんこんにちは。
最近天気がぐずついています。危うく3試合とも中止になるところでした。1週間、投げることができませんでした。昨日、9回に登板しました。調子は良かったのですが、ホームランを許してしまいました。ファウルのようでしたが判定はフェアでした。ネットの状態から見づらいのですが、みんなファウルだと言ってくれました。まあ、判定ミスはつきものです。もっと良い球を投げれば良かったのですから。今のところ、12回投げてヒット5、四球4、三振12です。天候のせいでコンスタントに登板できない中、コンディションを保つのは難しいです。今年は合計で22回に登板しました。登板数が少ないと、なかなか調子に乗りづらいです。
周りの人たちはいつも、僕がファイターズでプレーしていた頃の印象を持っています。自分自身はほとんど変わっていません。球速も変わらないし、変化球も同じです。違いといえば、以前は失敗してもチャンスをもらえたので、成功することができました。ファイターズでは、シーズンのスタートがひどかったこともありましたが、シーズン終わりにはいつも、成績も状態も良くなっていきました。リリーフ投手は、バッターと対戦して試合感覚を取り戻すまで、自分の状態をつかめないものです。
これからたくさんの試合があるので、試合に出ることが楽しみです。球場でお会いしましょう。

The weather has been wet lately. We almost rained out 3 games. I didn't pitch for 1 week. I pitched the 9th inning yesterday. I feel good but gave up a home run. It was foul but was called fair. The netting at seibu can make it hard to see but everyone agreed it was foul. Oh well bad calls happen. I should have thrown a better pitch. It was my first run in the minors. I now have 12 inning 5 hits 4 walks and 12 strikeout. It is hard to keep my condition when I play so inconsistently due to weather. I have a total of 22 innings this year. When you have such a low number of games it is hard to get on a roll.
People always have a impression of how I played with the fighters. I haven't changed much. I throw the same speed and have the same breaking balls. The difference was I was given the chance to fail which made me succeed. I had some terrible starts to the season with the fighters but always ended up steady with great success. As a relief pitch you don't know what works until you face batters and get the game sense and feeling.
We have more games coming up soon and I look forward to competing. See you at the ballpark.
