Aussieでないとはいえ、先生が歌っていないとやっぱり格好悪いですから。。。でも、日本では学校での君が代斉唱に関する問題が昔からあり、個人的には正直なところ「何故そんなに大騒ぎするほどのことなのか???」と思っていました。そこで、ちょっと自分なりに当地の国歌と君が代を比べてみて、国歌の内容にやや問題があるのか、、、と思いました。Australiaの国歌"Advance Australia Fair"の方は、国に関する内容が描かれている一方、君が代は天皇崇拝的な内容が濃いので抵抗を感じる人が出てくるような気がします。

Australiaは1977年の国民投票でこの"Advance Australia Fair"が、それまでの英国国歌に取って代わる国歌となりました。うちの旦那さんも、英国国歌"God save the Queen"(名の如く、女王崇拝の内容)より、現在の"Advance Australia Fair"の方がいいと言っています。
私も、個人的には国歌はこの"Advance Australia Fair"ように国を称える内容のほうが好きですが、日本人なので、君が代も大切にします
