Golden time in Golden

We moved from Boulder to Golden on Sunday.
We visited the Lerning Center in Lakewook.
In this center, they have servicees for adults who would like to get hightschool degree.

We visited Red RocksCommunity College.

I was very impressed that over half of their students have some job experiences.

There are also some hight schoolstudents who are interested in college study.

We also visited Sky Fuel.

This is a solar concentrator manufacturing company.

They are making great efforts to use sunlight effectively.

I stay at my new host family's house.

I enjoy cooking with my hostmoter.

In the first day, I cooked "Somen" noodle.

I was happy because their sweet granddaughter said she loved it.

Happy Birthday, Haru!

April 17th is Haru's birthday

We celeblated here birthday at fancy restaurant run by hostparents' son-in -law.

Rascal also says "Happy Birthday" to Haru.

We were invited to "Pot Luck".

It is a party that guests bring foods, and its recipe is decided beforehand.

I gave a presentation under the title of "kimono".

People were surprised with "Obi" part.

I started the presentation with my question, "How long do you think this obi is?"

The answer is "about 4m".

"Awesome!"

in Boulder

We joined Boulder Rotary Club lunch meeting.

We were hosted warmly.

Our GSE team introduced ourselves using powerpoint.

To our surprise, they gave a wonderful present.

They sang Rotaly song "tenite tsunaide" in Japanese.

We went to National Center for Atmospheric Reserch.

They kindly gave us presentation about "Renewable Energy".

Their main focus is on 'wind power" electricity.

This is a famous sight of Boulder called "flat iron"

As this name indicate, these mountains looks like HUGE irons.

We are invited to dinner.

We wore kimono at this party, and had a great time.
