We had MEETS on 18th September.
This time was a small Meeting.
1 American and 2 Japanese.
We sang worshp songs.
Among them "Yes and Amen" is the impressive one.
That is from 2 Corintians 1:20.
The promise of the God became "Yes" by the work of Jesus Christ. And we say only "Amen", and give praise to the God.
Next MEETS will be Oct. 16th 7 PM.

MEETS JUNE attendants were 2 Amerikans and 6 Japanese.
We studied Philippians 4:1-7.
We shared that there are disagreements among even christians. But the disagreements are in the God's plan.
The God is near in space and time. We can experience the love of God that flow by Holy spirit. We can have belief through these experiences.

Christians are easy to fall down, like small plants. But Christ has the power to raise a mastard seed to the big tree.

This time Ally's mother Sheril from South Carolina, Elin and Indika from Sweden.
We studied from Philipians 3:12-16.
Paul looked for the perfection of Christ. That come from Christ within us, but not from ourselves. This is the work of the God.
The power of Christ resurrection is more important than Spiritual gifts, of course Spritual gifts are important too.
There is advance in Christian life. We can know and experience the God more and more close to Christ. That is the purpose of Christians.
The feature of mature Christian is humility. We can see the best example in Jesus, as the humble king, who followed the way to the cross.
But we tend to think that we are right, you are wrong. That is our nature even among Christians. We are on the way to perfection of Christ.

Aposl Paul knew the wonderfulness of knowledge of the Christ. That gives us the God's rightousness through only our belief but not by our efforts. This process is far from human abilities. Paul was proud of his ability and human rightousness trying to follow the law before. But he conffesed they were rubbish. He noticed the power of Christ's death and resurrection. He kept on trying to get it. And he wrote we can get it only through our belief not by our effort that is useless. That is why gospel is called "Good news".
This part is mysterious in the bible but very important.

We have to be aware of our flesh nature, that is really dangerous for our spiritual life. We, even christians, have the nature of boasting ourselves, that is quite opposite to Christ's humility.
Especially christian workers should be careful not to become dog christians who obey their flesh desire.
We should check ourselves whether we have rejoice or not. If we do not have rejoice but anger and hatered, we are not safe.
Paul was boasting in himself before he met Jesus. He knew both extremes. He knew the biggest problem of christians. He said "But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.(Galatians 6:14)"

We gave praise and thanks to the God who sent His son on the earth as a humble King to die on the cross for our sin and rise again to give us life.
We shared wonderful time that we have the same holy spirit, same Christ, same salvation, and we are one in Christ.
