8月10日は、私の祖母の81歳
＆従妹21歳
の誕生日でした。
特別なことは何もしてあげられないけれど、わがファミリーの男性抜きでお祝いランチパーティーをしました。三女の姉は欠席でしたが、とてもいい時間でした。子供がいっぱいで、お店の方にはご迷惑をお掛けしましたが、楽しかったです。
Aug. 10th is my grandma's 81st birthday
& 21st birthday of my cousin
We could do nothing special for them but held the lunch party. Though my 3rd sister missed it, all the ladies in my family came to celebrate their birthday. We had a great time together. I really thank all the people at the restaurant for being patient with our naughty kids.
私にとって、戦前・戦中・戦後を生き抜き、15年前に夫に先立たれ、そして昨年ガンで息子を失っても強く生きる祖母と、20歳にして父を失っても明るく母親と支え合って生きる若き女性の姿そのものが人生の手本です。
For me, the grandma who's been surviving the hardships when the WWⅡand lost her husband 15 years ago and the son by cancer last year but still being good & wise mom or grandma....I just respect her really much. Also the cousin, her dad died when she was 20, but she's trying to be independent and supporting her mom so much. Though she is younger than I am, I have a lot of things to learn from her life.
