Thomas Hazelmyer is the founder and operator of Amphetamine Reptile Records. The cult of Am Rep has been followed by weird music freaks, geeks, and snobs since it’s founding in 1986. Thomas is also an amazing artist with a distinct style that finds it’s way into the artwork for many of Am Rep’s highly sought after releases. That brings us to this design; it’s the cover art for a new King Buzzo 12’ EP that’s coming out “soon”.

To date we’ve worked with Buzz Osborne and the Melvins on more projects than you can count on both hands (even if you have an extra finger or two). He’s been very generous in tolerating us and we couldn’t be more happy that Thomas sent this design over for use on one of our artsy fartsy T-shirt collaborations. Thanks guys!

We’ve worked with the Melvins and Brian Walsby on a couple CDs and a ton of T-shirt projects over the years. In fact, our very first shirt offering featured Buzz/ Dale and Co. This is the first Melvins specific shirt we’ve offered featuring the artwork of another close friend to the band: Amphetamine Reptile founder Thomas (Haze XXL) Hazelmyer.
“Alive At The Fucker Club” was a little known Melvins release when it came out on Amphetamine Reptile. Due to a typo it was sold super cheap to the distributor and as a result promptly put out of print after one pressing. Recently Buzz & HAZE XXL dug it up and resurrected it for vinyl with new art. ‘Came out so snappy and gristly we had to do a shirt of it!!

Melvins initially presented “Electroretard” as their 13th full length via Man’s Ruin Records in 2001. The label went under a few months later and only the CD version of the album was officially released. Ipecac put out these songs along with “The Bulls and the Bees” EP in 2015. Now, Thomas Hazelmyer’s Amphetamine Reptile imprint is scheduled to release “Electroretard” on LP for the first time (along with Hand printed artwork by Hazelmyer himself). We’re happy Thomas and Buzz have offered us the opportunity to produce this shirt version; which might not offer much in the way of audio quality but it sure looks pretty killer!

We’re not going to patronize you with a history lesson on either The Melvins or Mudhoney. Chances are, (if you’re into the underground rock) you already know enough about them both to be excited about the “Lazy White Boy” Ep that’s been published courtesy of Amphetamine Reptile. If you’re not yet aware of said EP, allow us to enlighten you: This recording features Mark Arm and Steven Turner of Mudhoney in collaboration with Buzz, Dale, and Steve McDonald of Melvins. It’s not a split EP… It’s a collaboration on which they’ve recorded two originals and two covers (Black Flag and Neil Young) and (If you’re checking this shirt out) it’s something that you will likely enjoy immensely.

ほんとうにこれだけ限定なんだろうかってこと。よくサイズはもうSしかないけどとかならわかるが、とくに300枚限定のものもいつ行っても注文まだ余裕でできる感じなところが怪しいかな。
