Women in sales sector often bring two pairs of shoes with them: sneakers and heels. They wear sneakers while walking and change to heels just before they meet clients. Do you think it clever? Come to think of it, however, males don't need to do that since their shoes are comfortablly fit whatever they do. It's unreasonable, isn't it?
Men generally aren't aware of this situation. So it's a kind of hidden discrimination, in my opinion.
That reminds me of China's old tradition of 纏足. It was a way to force girls feet smaller by binding their toes since they were very very young. It must have been terribly hurt. Medieval Chinese, however, considered tiny feet elegant and noble.
Now is the time for both genders cooperate together. We should do away with such an un practical practice.
