ちまきや柏餅なんかも食べるんですね～。
送られてきた鯉のぼりはもうちょっと庭の雪解けが進んでから出してみたいと思います。

Japanese grandma and granpa sent Hugh this little armor and carp streamers for Tango no sekku.
Tango no sekku (May 5) is the Boys' Festival for expressing the hope that each boy in the family
will grow up healthy and strong. Around the time of the holiday, families with boys often display
warrior dolls and miniature armor in their homes. Many families also fly carp streamers outdoors
because the carp is a symbol of a successful career. We will fly carp streamers in our yard after
the snow melt.
