Quintuplets graduate from
Montclair State University
Graduates full of pride here this evening after Montclaire University held its commencement in Newark today, and one family made history. CBS 2's Nick Callaway takes us to the ceremony.

Victoria Povolo was not alone as she received her degree. She was joined by her brother Vico, and their sister Ashley, and their brother Michael, and their other brother Marcus. Not only are they siblings, they are quintuplets.
Vico Povolo: "My heart is racing right now. You know, it feels awesome to walk across that stage especially with these guys. It's awesome."
We caught up with the quints backstage as they got ready for their big day.
The Povolos are from Totowa. They weren't sure they could even afford to go to college.
Vico Povolo: "So, when Montclair State gave us the full-ride scholarship, it was a no-brainer. You know, if we were able to all go to college together, it was a no-brainer."
They've been buddies since birth. After 22 years together, it kicks in. This might be the last milestone they get to share together.
Victoria Povolo: "It's been fun. So yeah, it's gonna be hard to separate."
It's believed this is the first time in New Jersey history that quintuplets have all graduated from the same college on the same day. As they made their way into the commencement at Newark's prudential center, the excitement takes over.
Victoria Povolo: "I'm shaking. It's electric. There's so much energy in here. I'm super excited."
The five Povolos get a shout out during the commencement. Their mom and dad filled with pride.
The Five Povolos' Mother: "It's such a big emotion, very overwhelming."
At the end, they turned the tassel and cue the confetti and they can't forget a hug or five for mom.

５つ子がモントクレア
州立大学を卒業
今日の午後、ニューアークでは、モントクレア州立大学の卒業式が開かれ、そこには誇りに満ちた卒業生たちの姿がありました。そして、今日、ある家族が歴史を作りました。CBS２のニック・カラウェイ記者がその式典へと案内してくれます。

ヴィクトリア・ポボロは学位を受け取る時、一人ではありませんでした。ともに、兄のヴィーコ、姉のアシュレー、兄のマイケル、そしてまた別の兄のマルカスが出席していました。彼らは単なる兄妹ではなく、５つ子なのです。
ヴィーコ・ポボロ：「今、胸がドキドキしています。特に兄妹たちと一緒にあのステージを歩けるのはすごいことだと思います。最高だ。」
私たちは、この晴れの日に備える５つ子たちを舞台裏で追いました。
ポボロ兄妹はトトワ出身です。大学へ進学できるゆとりがあるわけではありませんでした。
ヴィーコ・ポボロ：「だから、モントクレア州立大学が僕たちに全額奨学金を出してくれると言った時、答えは明白でした。だって、みんなで一緒に大学へ通えたら、すごいじゃないですか。」
彼らは生まれた時から仲良しでした。22年間をともに過ごした後、それが実感されます。でも、これが彼らが分かち合える最後の節目かもしれません。
ビクトリア・ポボロ：「楽しかったわ。だから、別れがたいんです。」
ニュージャージーの歴史において、５つ子全員が同じ日に同じ大学を卒業するのはこれが初めてだと言われています。彼らがニューアークのプルデンシャル・センターに入ると、会場は興奮につつまれました。
ヴィクトリア・ポボロ：「震えています。感極まってしまって。ここにはエネルギーが満ち溢れていますね。ものすごく興奮しています。」
式でポボロ兄妹が紹介されました。両親は誇りに満ちています。
ポボロ５兄妹の母：「感無量です。とても感慨深いですね。」
最後に、タッセル（角帽の房）を移動させ、コンフェッティシャワーを浴びると、お母さんにも忘れずに５人分のハグを。
