さくらもちは、関東と関西では違います。
関東はクレープのような生地で餡を包んでいますが、関西はもち米で餡を包んでいます。
しかし、最近、関西でも、時々、関東風のさくらもちを見かけるようになってきました。
私も今日はおやつに、関東風さくらもちをいただきました。
とっても美味しかったです
Sakura mochi, or cherry-colored rice cake is different in the Kanto region (Tokyo and the surrounding area) and in the Kansai region (Osaka and the surrounding area).
In the Kanto region, the sweet bean paste is wrapped by a crepe-like dough, while in the Kansai region, the sweet bean paste is wrapped by sticky rice.
However, recently, Kanto-style sakura mochi has occasionally been seen in Kansai as well.
Today, I enjoyed Kanto-style sakura mochi at the tea break.
It was really delicious.
